Although Pearce did very well captaining the reserves when the team was full of older, more experienced pros than him. Of course the reserves are a very different environment to the first team but he handled the 'burden' well.
He is also a natural leader, even when not captain he organised the defence and used to be bawling out the likes of Duberry.

Agree with SKDD that it will be interesting. You can argue a case for any of the CBs to be in the side - Rodgers wouldn;t have named Pearce as vice captain if he didn;t rate him (which holds as much water as the case for the others !!)
