Royalee It certainly worked first half as we tore them apart, we just switched off defensively second half.

And it seems that Rodgers didn't have a 50p (or didn't know where to look for one) to put in the meter to switch us back on.

Oh and do you really think that McAnuff is going to be the answer to our lack of consistency (or quality) in the wide areas?

I think Robson-Kanu and McAnuff will do well for us on the flanks when both are fully fit and given a run of games, yes. I bet you were one of the people who slated Convey in 2005.

When players fall apart like that on the pitch even the best managers struggle to pick the whole team back up again.

I've even seen it happen to Fergie and there's no argument he has his players under his control.

As for the concentration, we're a young team and it's a lesson learnt. You can bet that after that we won't lose concentration after we go ahead - the fear of that happening again will drive us forward.

No, I don't slate players, it's not what I do (unlike some people)

I have always lived in hope, rather than expectation, as far as RFC is concerned; I get no pleasure in seeing any part of the Club fail (again unlike some people)

Royalee We played the best 4-4-2 we could have done with the players available. McAnuff was still injured, Kebe is shit as he demonstrated when he came on and missed a sitter to add to his growing collection and I think Robson-Kanu has a knock.

Robson-Kanu misses today's reserve match, so that seems to be the case. Any thoughts on why Davies wasn't on the bench Saturday? I still can't see the rationale behind having effectively three players covering the CB positions on the bench (Mills, Ingi, Cisse).

I'm not sure why Davies hasn't been involved, maybe the Newcastle game affected him - he was poor in the Barnsley cup game. I'd still like to see him given a chance though and think he'll be given it.

As for the subs, we didn't have any cover for right back and Gunnarsson has been moved there in the past, which would explain Cisse. Ingimarsson will still probably not be up to 90 minutes and we could have both centre backs injured. If Pearce got injured then we'd probably need Ingimarsson's captaining skills as Mills and O'Dea haven't really played together and might need an older head. In the same way, if O'Dea was to get injured, a pairing of Pearce and Ingimarsson would severely lack pace, so the preferred option would probably be Mills. That still left us with Karacan, who can play more advanced in midfield in addition to box-to-box, and 2 attacking players in Kebe and Hunt. I think the balance was about right - 7 players on the bench allows you to plan for every eventuality.

Don't dodge the question, did we play a conventional 4-4-2 or not?

A simple yes or no will do.

No one said Conventional 4-4-2 until you ran into the thread to defend your wife.

Royal lady said we have dumped the 4-4-2. No use of the word conventional.

Royallee said "no we haven't"

You said "When did we play the conventional 4-4-2??"

See the problem here?

More importantly, what players would you suggest he used in this conventional 4-4-2?

Robson-Kanu is a non-conventional forward, Henry is playing like shit, Mcanuff is injured, Antonio is another one that is too inexperienced... that leaves Kebe as the only truly wide player at the club.

Royallee is spot on when states that Rodgers has played the best 4-4-2 he can with the available players.

Not that it's got a thing to do with you but RL said I'd stop fannying about with pretty formations and go with 4-4-2 quite clearly suggesting a standard 4-4-2 rather than the 'pretty' diamond alternative. Our resident genius replied So you'd play 4-4-2 like we have in the last 2 games anyway which is clearly not what she's suggesting as we played a diamond on Saturday.

I'm sure Royalee can fight his own battles, well he can't obviously, but you get the point.

I'm still not sure where you intend this argument to go.

We can't play a conventional 4-4-2 with the available players. Or do you contend that?

I'd rather the manager fannys about with "pretty" formations until he finds one that works rather than soldiering on with a formation that definitely won't work.

Kebe is easily our most dangerous wide player. HRK hasn't done anything to suggest he's fit to lace Jimmy's shoes of speed.

Kebe = danger v Cardiff and danger v Peterborough. Always a relief to see him come on when we're struggling to do anything going forward.

I don't want it to go anywhere with you. I've absolutely no interest in your thoughts on this or any other subject.

As for Royalee, it would be nice for him to acknowledge that his comment to RL was a cheap shot and total garbage, but that's about as likely as rocking horse shit as he's not one for acknowledging he's got something wrog - despite, or may because of the fact that he gets pretty much everything wrong.

It's pretty clear that Royalee should apologise. And, if he doesn't, Schards should demand an apology.

Or, as Royalee was deemed sexist, should Royalee demand an apology from Schards?
