West Stand Flash Anyone who thinks this dude will save us are amazingly deluded. 6 goals in 3 years and can't get in some ahite Danish team. Exciting times.

Let's be honest, a decent club would have come in for him. Not w@nk like Reading.

Isn't he one of their best players but is also one of their highest-earners so they cannot afford to keep him at the club?

That can't be right can it? Ian Royal said the other day that the EP had it wrong!

No I didn't. I said why trust Fordham without any explanation when the window opens on 1st.

I've also never claimed to be the font of all wisdom or omniscient

Gunnar signed a contract with Reading few minutes ago, a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to a permanent two year contract. Good deal for both parties.

Yeah, the window opening on 1st of Janaury, him being rubbish and W_R being the one posting it. And I didn't say he was wrong. I just saw no reason to believe he was right based on the above.

If this is the case what is actually stopping him from joining on the 1st and being ready for Liverpool? Is it simply the fact the 1st is a bank holiday?

Assuming this not available to the 4th thing is actually true, it might be something to do with international transfers being more complicated and needing more paperwork, for which there is no one available to do it. The whole thing seems pretty ridiculous and I haven't seen any sort of decent explanation for it yet though.

Who cares, he's missing a cup game we'll lose anyway would rather have him having another week settling in, training and be raring to go for the Newcastle game.

Only downside is the cup game would've been useful to sharpen him up a bit and give him a no pressure start to his Reading career.

Now we're throwing him into the deep end with less preperation.

I hope he`s got broad shoulders!!! Good luck and I hope he does well but things are so bad that there is a hell of a lot of pressure on him to succeed.I think he`s made out to be our saviour and just hope people give him a fair crack of the whip without turning on him to quickly if he has a slow start.

Well it doesn't seem like we're gonna get anyone else.

So we're gonna need 10 - 15 goals from this guy.

No pressure, it's only relegation....

Exactly. Newcastle isn't exactly a great deal more winnable for our current team.

Important he gets a few goals but more so that he forms a partnership with one of our existing strikers which is something we haven't had for sometime. Most successful forwards have a "foil" they enjoy playing with.

At least lets hope he knows the offside rule.

I believe he's been here ever since his trial, so he should be well settled by next Saturday

There's no subsitute for actually playing though, he'll still need games to sharpen up and get to know how the rest of the team play.

It's no big problem, but getting that extra game in would've been nice.

Right, just to further throw this matter into consideration, taken from the BBC site this morning...
BBC SPORT * indicates a move has been agreed which will officially become permanent when the window reopens on 1 January.
*Gunnar Thorvaldsson [Esbjerg - Reading] Loan

So, does that mean he is available, or has BBC got its facts wrong?
