Broxroyal A battling performance in McDermott's last game in charge sees Reading go down to a narrow defeat. Watched by new manager Hoddle / Irvine / Ferguson / Gannon / Megson / whoever, the Reading players desperately try to impress and are unlucky to lose.

Similar, but...

A dismal performance in McDermott's last game in charge sees Reading go down to a thumping 4-0 defeat. Watched by new manager Hoddle / Irvine / Ferguson / Gannon / Megson / whoever, the Reading players are completely outclassed and look throughly demoralised... it will clearly be a huge job to turn this round for any new manager.[/

Let's hope Sig doesn't play a blinder tomorrow. He could do without the attention.

Well my mood at the start of this year is a terrible one and after last week's terrible effort its a no win situation for me. Play well i'll be wondering why the hell they didn't do last week and play badly and i think you can work out the rest.

Anyway, 0-3

That's what worries me! The last thing I want is any papering of the cracks and any ammunition for JM thinking we really do have the best squad in the division.....

We're gonna get creamed. I can handle that. What I can't handle is the scousers cheering amongst us. Please don't sing that whiny "five times" song.....

Much will depend on whether Torres plays. We could be absolutely stuffed but i've got a feeling we'll make a game of it. Still would be gobsmacked if we got a result though, so..

Reading 0-2 Liverpool

I can see Sig possibly scoring though, which may speed up a move to a Premiership club. As someone said on here earlier in the week i could imagine him at Liverpool or Spurs, more Liverpool as his game reminds me of Gerrard. Sadly think he'll definitely leave if we go down though.

Had a cheeky quid on 8-0 Liverpool at 250/1 on Bet365, unlikely though.

Probably 4-0 or something.

Just found this on BBC and Lawros predictions.

Liverpool's problems have been well documented but they will be high on confidence after back-to-back wins over Christmas. Their performances were far from convincing but the results were all that mattered and the stoppage-time winner against Aston Villa on Tuesday would have really raised the spirits.

If this fixture took place a month ago you might have expected Reading to get a result
. But they've lost their manager, Brendan Rodgers, and they're struggling badly. A return of one home win all season is simply not good enough and I don't see them bucking that trend in the tea-time kick-off.

Verdict: 0-2

I take it he has not seen RFC this season.

Can only agree with that sentiment, if in hell we managed to beat Liverpool then I can only see that being a bad thing, the egoman would no doubt say that our tremendous squad have at last shown thier potential and that Mcdermott is definately the man for the job...............................and I think we all know that isnt the case, in both ways !!

Trying to be positive! Even though the fact that the last 4 world cup seasons has brought promotion or relegation has worried me for a long time. It was clear early on this season that we werent going to go up...
