Drew_3 Wort side to have ever visited the mad stad! IMHO

agreed - toothless, felt sorry for their fans who were excellent...should have been 10-0 or even 12-0

kebe should have had a min hatrick and was awesome...what a difference a few months make...he was toilet 6 months ago, now he's like a slightly poorer version of Therri Henry (thats a compilment by the way)

North Somerset Royal
Kitson12
Forbury Lion The highlights on the Championship didn't show the two dissallowed goals and the penalty that wasn't given.... Anyone get a good view? Were both goals clearly offside? Was it a penalty or a dive?

Second offside goal IMHO was not offside, not by a long way.

Where I sit was more or less in line with the lino for both disallowed goals and I and others around me called them both as offside.

I was pretty much in line with those calls as well (near the front, so almost a lino-eye-view). I thought the first one was clearly off-side.

I thought the second one was more borderline, as I thought the player receiving the ball was just onside, but there was also a reading player forther across who looked off-side to me and who could have been deemed active by the lino.

Just goes to show, it's not an easy decision when you don't have endless slo-mo replays to help you!

BR2
strap Couldn't get to more than a couple of games this season for reasons previously documented, so thought I'd get a box for this one and invite friends and family. My 82 yo Mother's first ever RFC game, wife's 3rd game, youngest sister's 2nd. They want to come again!

Had a fantastic day, and even the lunch was brililant. Youngest son had a bet of 3-0 with Pearce scoring first at 76-1, was gutted for a second just after Kebe's goal went in. Not as gutted as me, I had us to win 6-1 at 50-1, and was cheering the lino who disallowed 2 goals towards the end, and was willing Mackail-Smith to pop a consolation in in injury time. AM convinced that the ref didnlt play the requisite added time at then dof the second half!

I missed the 6-0 v Sham with the flu, so I reckon this was the best RFC performance at the Mad Stad ever. Can't fault any of the players. Just how does Tabb win do many headers? Zurab is immense and just shows the gulf in class between Prem reserves and Championship 1st teamers. Would be great to get him next year. Ditto Griffin.

Daft thing is, we still need a clinical goalscorer!! We should have had 12, and Joe Lewis was MoTM for me. If we can keep this lot together for next year we may be just be in for an exciting season. Top 8 finish this season must be the aim, and after 23rd in December, it would be a fantastic achievement. Just wish the seoans started 1st Jan 2010. Have to say don't want it to end!!

Great day, great game, great team, great atmosphere, and great fans. Oh, and Mr Mad came up to the box at the end, and looked genuinely tickled pink. Fair play in getting rid of football's David Brent when he did.

Tell your mum she doesn't look a day over 72.

Still too young for you mate.

royalexile That was all about goal difference and a real pleasure to see on such a fine day.
A good day out for Premaddict

A bit late to the party I know but agreed, was not quite as enjoyable as what we did to Wetsham in 2007 but goals galore is always desired.

Was really impressed with Griffin - made some spectacular tackles. Nice Ferrari too. Tabb was all over the place and made his presence felt. Long was a bit absent at times. The Sig, fun to see his abilities first-hand. Glad he's staying for a bit longer. Jobi and Kebe both had really had a good day. Overall a great team performance. Atmoshpere was first-rate.

Overall I'd like to say that the game represented the gulf in quality between a C'ship top 3 club and bottom-of-the-table squad. But I think it's more down to the fact that Posh are just hopeless and belong in L1. Nevertheless, I think that this second half of the season represents something to build-upon and a couple of good loans or purchases for '10-'11 will see us easily in the top six. Not too worried about those being promoted or relegated into the c'ship next season.
