Noel Hunt talking today about his U21's being an aggresive front footed team. That would be nice.

Wonder if we lose to Birmingham will we have the scenes we saw under Paunovic's reign at the stadium?
I can't get my head around just how big this game has tuned out.

If we go down I would be tempted to ditch Ince and give it to Hunt

Well he seems quite confident he will be here next season judging by his comments about wanting Hendrick back if we stay up.

He has a contact, so as far as he is concerned he will be or he'll get a payoff.

He isn't going to come out and say "yeah I'm not planning for next year yet because the end of the season has been shit and I might not be here in the next couple of months"

Reason to terminate his contract right there

Multi year deal apparently, probably with review points.

From the owner's previous conduct - it's highly likely that if we stay up then he gets another season.

The simple reality is that there's not going to be the fan-backlash there was with Pauno. Sure, there's the hot heads represented on here and twitter who want every manager fired after losing 3 games in a row. And i've no doubt that recent form and PInce's actions have created concern among the general fan base. But most people are going to recognise the absolute mess that the club are in and acknowledge that staying up with a 6 point deduction, transfer embargo and one of the lowest wage bills in the league is success in itself.

So, it's up to you guys. You can continue winding yourself up or accept the staying up mean more PInce.

You could also accept that staying up and more Ince means the same poor performance next season and no progress.

Hanging on to managers who aren't up to it until they utterly fail hasn't proved a particularly winning strategy.

Appointing good ones helps. The end of this season is a watershed moment where want to to stride forward. To do that we need the right manager in charge. That isn't Paul Ince.

How much patience do you think the fanbase will have come October when we're struggling having made signings not under the same sort of restrictions and the football remains dire?

FA Vase Finalists Ascot United's Jamie Tompkins and Dan Masters. They could bring Jamie Ashdown home too.

I don't have an up to date database of managers internationally I'm afraid. But I can tell when my team's manager is shit.

The idea that if some spod on the internet can't name someone you agree with that's evidence we should stick with Ince is a bit simple.

Ainsworth should out of work by then... people seem to love him. Warnock will be looking for his next retirement package. Don’t know if Wilder and Hughton are back in work at the moment. Bowen could have another go. Noel Hunt could get promoted from within. The Ghost of Christmas Past might be available.

How many of us would be happy to see Paul Ince as manager of Reading at the start of next season if it meant the club avoiding relegation this season?

Or

Is there really any supporter out there that’d rather Paul got the push over the club staying up?

The first question is a false one and the two things are not linked. Staying up is not dependent or linked to Paul Ince being here next season.

I think Paul Ince being our manager next season is a bigger threat to my enjoyment of it than what division we're in. But again, the two things are completely unlinked.

Leaving aside whether PInce is doing a bad job with what he's got (I still think the jury is out) - my point was that if we stay up I think it's highly unlikely that he's going anywhere. It would seem likely that we are going to have to reduce our wage bill even more than this season - so, it's just going to be another one in which we are battling to avoid relegation. And I can see the owners taking the view the PInce is 2 for 2 on staying up so why gamble with someone else.

I am Ince in for now. Let's get behind the players until the end of the season and hope for the best.

I hope we are loud in every home game left, help get every point we can at home!
