Armadillo Roadkill SJM is a true legend.
Got photo of him with my lad when he was young - he was thrilled to meet Sir John, and still treasures the picture.
Seeing him coming out to greet the away followings all over the country was always a great moment.
Never approached him myself as I wouldn't want to impinge upon his privacy, but with his commitment to the club and his eccentricities, I'd say he was the only acceptable Tory multimillionaire to ever live.

And before he leaves us rather than posthumously, because, let's be honest, humility is not his most prominent attribute, and for him to witness it would be an wholly appropriate way of thinking him.

The Cap Met Sir John, back in the day, up the Costa Cafe in Reading Station. Came across as quite a character. Asked him where he was off to and he replied "Up to Liverpool. Without casting aspersions, say no more".

We should get the Port Vale fans to pay for it.

A blind date, or some sort of surprise?
Either way he probably had a lot of laughs

and if at the unveiling it toppled over and killed him does it count as posthumously if the covering is still on?Armadillo RoadkillBrogueArmadillo Roadkill SJM is a true legend.

Brogue It’s kinda strange there has been nothing official from the club about the new investment. Despite them announcing it on LinkedIn about a week or so ago. I would have thought there would have been some sort of statement

His brand new Bentley was there at the last game of the season.
He did an interview on bbc berks a couple of weeks back saying he was pleased with the takeover and that it was rob, and they have met and have spoken. But unlike all the previous owners he didn’t feel the need to offer any words of wisdom on how to run the club as for the first time we’ve got an owner who has been an owner before, and knows what he’s doing.
