Madejski

"This is the dream ticket"

Still not sure Mcd is telling the whole truth though and he did buy poorly anyway.

Seem to recall that we've seen this sort of situation before i.e. we are told that we have had significant last minute bids for players rejected, then a few months later there is no money available.

reports of bids in paper do not equal us making a bid

Where is the money TSI promised?

Everyone said we'd be on the gravy train, but so far all we've had is a couple of free transfers and a couple of mediocre signings, that's not exactly massive investment.

we were promised some money
and that was an imporvement on JM cos he had NO money
we were promised no change in the way our club was to be run, but simply that we wouldnt have to sell our best players, and would be able to supplement the squad when needed, with crafty acquisitions.
exactly what we got
you need to fix your promisometer, its clearly broken

 weve had 5 million in jan, another ten million this summer(extra fees and wages)
the most succesful january transfer window ever, and our most money spent on most quality players in one window ever.

So money is tight? Well, let’s not waste it on another 3 or 4 benchwarmers and bring in one of actual quality.

I’d swap Gunter, Guthrie, Pog and Mariappa for one decent CM/AM. But that would “bankrupt the club” apparently, and we should just keep to filling the squad with flairless twatdrool.

To be honest, I don't believe a thing McD is saying; we missed targets so how on earth could we have 'spent all the budget'. Bull-f/cking-shit.

McD almost forgetting about Guthrie's injury. He not injured, to say he's now not even trained when last week (Pre Norwich) he was saying he could be available for Everton

The Quiet Man Dick Advocaat currently at PSV being lined up as a possible replacement according to the Post today :o

One look at our current squad and Advocaat will be rushing back over the north sea quicker than an in form Kebe...

Ideal
Friday's Legacy
Royal91 "The new owner came in saying he has ambitions to hit the top 6/10, and yet we go for cheap option players". Hicksie_Fan

The booing is a result of bullshit from Anton from basically. People pay outrageous prices for tickets/travel ect whilst players get paid outrageous amounts

Why is it a result of "bullshit" from the new owner? McDermott had a lot of money left to spend at the close of the window. More than he spent on Chris Gunter and Adrian Mariappa in fact; but he chose, for whatever reason, not to spend it.

It has now come out, straight from the horses mouth, that he did in fact spend ALL of the budget he had.

So will you now accept that you are/were entirely wrong, and that there was no more money to be spent?????

What do you think about that then, FL, tell us??

Reading owner Zingarevich considers PSV chief Advocaat
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Wed, 11/14/2012 - 11:39
Dick Advocaat is being linked with Brian McDermott's job at Reading.

Tvoi Den says Reading's Russian owner Anton Zingarevich is considering PSV Eindhoven chief Advocaat as the Royals struggle to snap their winless streak this season.

Former Russia coach Advocaat is on a one-year deal at PSV and a favourite of Zingarevich.

The Dutchman has always wanted to work in the Premier League, having enjoyed great success in Scotland with Rangers.

Ahh an average manager, who made a name for himself at a major Glasgow club and has no experience of the English Leagues. Reminds me of someone.
