sandman For the purposes of comparing him to Tommy Burns see previous post.
Fair play to him for winning the Easydivisie, a two horse race, the Russian League, a European Trophy that even the teams in the competition don't care about and a glorified pre-season friendly.

sandman How many relegation fights has he been in?
Well done to him, he's managed some national teams, counts for nothing in a relegation fight. Then again he's a manager with name recognition so in your world that makes him better for this club than a man who has done more for us than anyone bar Sir John and SSC and knows the club inside out.

Extended-Phenotype So it's more a case of Pot meeting himself.
That would be a pretty dull meeting. Marginally more interesting than watching Reading play atm.

So if Anton uses your logic, he will be looking for someone who habitually finds himself in relegation battles ?

If you weren't such a reactionary fool then you'd understand what I'm saying. If Anton uses logic he won't replace Brian with a pensioner, name manager, whose international management career that you regard so highly is mostly based on being a poor substitute for Guus Hiddink.
Now go and collect your toys from the floor.

We have certain ways of playing. At the moment, we play 4-4-2 which works for us.

SPARTA Thought it was interesting to hear Brian challenge the section of fans that decided to boo last week. I don't agree with booing, but he condoned it and said you have to support through the bad times as well as the good, which is absolutely correct; however this is the same man that has reiterated in the past that football is a results business - and on that note, he has to be fearful now of losing his job.

marcusopp I like what a couple of guys have eluded to, our perpetual poor starts to a season, followed by a very strong finish.
I think our start's been ok, only 4 defeats to chelsea, spurs, liverpool and WBA (who are up there), i'm sure we'd have all taken that in august.
A completely undeserved win today will be lovely!
If not, i expect us to do the usual, and finish the season well, finishing lower-mid table
