Looks like a really poor effort from stoke that - 1 shot on target and the summary text suggest most of their other attempts were long range hit and hopes

Derby given some hope certainly - but other results went well for us, late qpr winner

Tbh as ever it’s up to us to put some results together now, teams near the bottom dropping plenty of points

Derby have now won 31 points from 24 games this season but are now turning draws into wins. If they continue their form from the first half of the season for the remaining 22 games they will pick up around 28 more points and finish with 38 points.

Looking at currents points per games played for the bottom five sides they will need around 44 points to survive particularly as their goal difference is much better than the teams fighting relegation. So 34 points from the remains 22 games. Yep definitely achievable.

If we play them on Monday it will be their third game in a week. No excuses for our lot then.

So many variables with Derby to see this patch of form move to a miracle survival.

Very likely to lose a few players in Jan, an injury or two could hurt them.

They have also played 1 or 2 more than everyone above them.

Pressure will also build on them as the unlikely looks possible. At the moment, no-one expects anything, they are down but if the gap to 4th becomes say 5 or 6 points, then they are in the battle and the form team to boot. They go from no hopers playing without pressure to the team most likely to survive. Massive shift.

This is one of only 2 sides to lose to Barnsley and prior to this 3 run win, they lost 2 on the bounce.

It`s still a big ask for them, they have some very hard games coming up, but they`ve given themselves a fighting chance, only shipped 22 goals all season so far, but only scored 21.
They will have a noisy following on Monday, we should know what to expect, but we mustn`t lose.

Rotherham won 4 in 6 games last season and still went down. We won 5 games in 6 earlier this season, did that continue? Stop worrying about a tiny bit of form it’s a long season ffs.

If Derby beat us on Monday they will be 8 points behind us!! These guys will be pissed by current EFL sanctions against them, and I'm pretty sure they would've been even more pissed that we got off so lightly!! So they'll be massively motivated to beat the system and us, and give the EFL the finger and somehow pull off the miracle that it would be.
With half a season left to play, that would leave them three games back, and on their current form is not insurmountable!! Football is crazy at times.

It is but supposing we do lose on Monday, if we play.

We will have 21pts but 27 from 23. So if we repeat then we get to 48. Touch and go.

Derby will have 34 from 25 on the pitch. Translates to another 29 or 63 in total. So finish 6 points behind us.

They are gonna perform a miracle arnt they, and get out of it. I've serious visions of 2007-08. Crappy run in Jan and Feb hurt us back then. I never thought we would go down back then. There were teams worse than us. To me Monday is almost critical that we get something.

Even if they beat us. It is still 8 points with 2 games in hand. We have games in hand on those above us too.

Let's start to worry if we are in the bottom 3 with a few games to go because if Derby get past us, almost definite that Peterborough and Barnsley will have too.

Didn't Derby get a 9 point deduction and we got 6 plus 6 suspended. That's hardly something to see as being 'light' !

They may think we got off lightly, but what they do take into account is that they were docked points for Administration and then more for accounting irregularities (selling assets at inflated value etc)., but were only given suspended points for FFP infringements. Therefore we could argue we were punished more than them for FFP breaches.

We overspent, that's all it was....they not only overspent, they virtually commited accounting fraud, went into administration, had basic unpaid bills and didn't pay staff for a month, argued with the EFL and challenged in court nearly every decision that they were charged with. They got off bloody lightly.
I can't believe Forest, Swansea and various others are gonna get away lightly. It should be their turn next. It's disgusting Bournmouth are getting away with their level of spending. I'm still hoping they don't go up.......they will get the book thrown at them then.

I think there will be 5 or 6 who are facing points deductions in the next 18 months based on recent accounts.

Well they've definitely set the precedent ever since they deducted Birmingham 9pts 4 seasons ago, since then they've deducted Sheff Wed points as well as ourselves and Derby this season for FFP.

Derby will. Win they have 3 wins on the bounce in the same time we have not kicked a ball, not even in training. They have already beaten us this season. Our home form is terrible and we are on Sky which we always lose in front of the cameras.
