TBM As a club manager McClaren is actually pretty decent..........just at International level he didn't have a clue

Tell Forest that... How many weeks was he there?

Wimb Wonder why SkyBet have got Luis Enrique from.... now 15/2 with them.

Interesting.. Luis Enrique at Reading.. I like the sound of that.
I'm not sure Dolan should be made manager - Seems a bit pointless; it's what we did with Brian (hiring someone within the club). I think we need a fresh pair of eyes.

Enrique or Solskjear please?

I'm just pissed off that McDermott's sacking appears to be a knee jerk reaction and that the players (who've plainly failed at this level) appear to be blurting to the press about managers they don't want.

Yep, and it ignores the pressure he was under by restless home fans who were far from happy with him at that early stage.

Royal91 If we lose out on Adkins to that scum I will be furious!

It would only be losing out if that were who we wanted.....

Massive school boy error sacking Big Mac without a replacement standing by to jump in. But that said, I think he was going to appoint Di Canio, until a vast majority of the fans and the players showed their displeasure.

The longer the position remains open, then the more I think it will be a manager from the continent.

RoyalSheep http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4846690/Eamonn-Dolan-backed.html

Probably not anything in this obviously, as it's the Sun but:

EAMONN DOLAN is getting increasing support from Reading’s players to carry on as manager until the end of the season.
Dolan, 45, was the academy coach until Brian McDermott was sacked.

Paolo Di Canio, Roberto Di Matteo and Nigel Adkins have all been in the frame for the job.

But one player said: “Quite a few of us would be happy to see Dolan stay until the season ends.
“There’s an increasing chance of this happening but the way this club’s been recently, nothing can surprise us.”

Dolan says he does not expect to get the job full-time. But with the club looking set for relegation, owner Anton Zingarevich may wait until May before replacing him.

I am sure you must be aware of this but...

When a newspaper carries a 'quote' from an un-named source, it means they just made it up.

Can't believe that Parky would turn down the chance to manage Reading in favour of staying at Bradford.

No, Di Canio was never considered as a serious option by the club.

Can't believe we'd actually offer him the job. I mean, is this really the direction the club's going in?

He wouldn't, he just knows he's not going to get the chance to manage Reading any time soon.

A week feels like a lifetime though.

Haven't been this nervous since I was waiting for confirmation of a second Sex In the City movie
