From wiki "McClaren resigned as manager, citing the club's refusal to sign two Premier League players on loan deals"

Probably not anything in this obviously, as it's the Sun but:
EAMONN DOLAN is getting increasing support from Reading’s players to carry on as manager until the end of the season.
Dolan, 45, was the academy coach until Brian McDermott was sacked.
Paolo Di Canio, Roberto Di Matteo and Nigel Adkins have all been in the frame for the job.
But one player said: “Quite a few of us would be happy to see Dolan stay until the season ends.
“There’s an increasing chance of this happening but the way this club’s been recently, nothing can surprise us.”
Dolan says he does not expect to get the job full-time. But with the club looking set for relegation, owner Anton Zingarevich may wait until May before replacing him.

TTC Massive school boy error sacking Big Mac without a replacement standing by to jump in. But that said, I think he was going to appoint Di Canio, until a vast majority of the fans and the players showed their displeasure.
The longer the position remains open, then the more I think it will be a manager from the continent.

LoyalRoyalFan Can't believe that Parky would turn down the chance to manage Reading in favour of staying at Bradford.

A week feels like a lifetime though.
Haven't been this nervous since I was waiting for confirmation of a second Sex In the City movie
