Stranded Looks like Clarke was made available as the management knew Andy Carroll would likely take his spot on the bench for the Forest game?

And yes, I would have expected Clarke to be on the bench for that game as despite his 2 goals, I don't think he is quite ready for a first team start.

I'd be very surprised if that was the case. Deal for Carroll isn't even over the line and I very much doubt they'll risk breaking him straight away by playing him, even if only off the bench, straight away.

He's got 7 months left on his contract, how much compensation do you think he'd get? Not much.

I don't think sacking him is the issue here, it's finding a suitable replacement to come in and work for the wage we can pay them.

Yep, had enough of this crap now.

Every game I see is the same. Every team has us sussed but he just keeps on doing the same thing over and over again.

It’s almost as bad as watching Stam’s team.

It doesn’t even matter about injuries, the players will still be sent out with the same shit game plan and we will be snuffed out.

FTLOG put us out of our misery and do it Mr Dai.

We'll only hire someone shit to replace him so no point. Just let him walk at the end of the season.

Surely the only way to at least try stop the rot and save ourselves is to sack him ? Otherwise we may aswell all just give up now and go down

Our squad (even the 11 + Carroll tonight) is far too good to go down.

But yes, I fear we absolutely will if Paunovic stays in charge.

Pauno is fine.

Apart from today, I've enjoyed watching most games.

Today was against a team of decent players playing VERY negatively killing the game, was very close.

Last game, great attacking by us, could have won.

Carroll is here, players are coming back.

We'll fly up the table and finish at least top half.

Although tempted, it would be disrespectful to post a laughing face so I’ll just say I think you are wrong.

Or maybe you are just having a laugh. Sorry, I don’t know.

It’s the last sentence that makes me think you are.

Well let's see then - actually being serious for once.

Don't worry as one of his earliest haters I have no trouble flipping back to supporting the Pauno Out movement the second I see a reason for it.

A close defeat against a team shutting us out is not it.

My bed remains dry for now.

I would agree, in spite of our insipid performance, that Sheffield United played a very negative game. Often nine men behind the ball and all within 15 yards of it. Didn't make for much of a watch.
