Royal Lady Where has anyone changed the goalposts. At the time of starting this thread, he was very disillusioned. He has stated from the outset that he doesn't see us getting promoted this season and possibly ending up mid table. This is still a reality, depending on what happens in January. When we win, he's ecstatic - believe me!

I don't doubt that, I've never been one to suggest that Schards is anything other than a dyed in the wool fan and don't believe for a minute that he wants anything other than for us to do well.

Doesn't alter the fact that the post that kicked this whole thread off is full of stuff that has been shown to be wrong. It makes no reference to the end of the season and is all about stuff that Schards believed was true at the time of posting but just cannot be what he now believes. Whilst he gives the appearance of believing that the team has no spirit, that Coppell lacks enthusiasm, that we have made no efforts to rebuild, that the season will be dull and uninspiring and that all we have to look forward to is mid table football it's hardly surprising his views continually get held up as being so wide of the mark.

And let's be honest he's hardly one for letting other's views go uncommented on if he feels they are incorrect !!

He said

I think we need to get used to mid table championship football at the very best until there is a sea change at this club.

Not out of the top six after one game more played following the post, I am getting used to top 6 myself, nothing guaranteed, but not a bad position, however nothing guaranteed as of yet.

I would say we, as a club are in a beter position thatn the three seasons prior to 106 points.

You can't say it is a reality depending on what happens in January  ?!

Reality is, we are 3rd.

Schards will however soon be tearing up one part of his early season bet, though cant see the Lita bit making much either, though was a good odds

My only bets thus far are Reading to be relegated (40/1)

Lita Championship top scorer (30/1)

Royal Lady Is it the end of the season? Have we already made progress and gone back to the Premiership? Until then, I wouldn't gloat. As has been said time and again, if at the end of the season he's been proved wrong, he'll be man enough (and very happy with the outcome) to admit it. Until then, bringing this thread up at every opportunity is puerile in the extreme.

Not as puerile as changing the goalposts when proved to be wrong....

That first post has clearly fallen victim to so some rogue editing with "until the end of the season" being removed after the mid-table observations.

It's not Schards fault that he's been made to look very silly and childish but I do wish his nearest and dearest would spend some time collecting all these discarded toys.

PS. One trusts that all those rows of empty blue seats on view last night has helped to raise the spirits at Schards Towers.

If you'd seen his betfair account of late, you wouldn't be saying that, of course. Still, you all have a go. If it makes you feel superior.

Royal Lady He's not the one who keeps bringing this bloody thread up everytime Reading win.

No, but he's the one who wrote the original thread and steadfastly refuses to acknowledge that it's been totally debunked.

It wouldn't take much swallowing of pride to admit that his reaction after Ipswich was wrong.

Any whipping is entirely self inflicted here.

That was called way back by several people here, looked a pre-mature ridiculous rant then, looks a pre-mature ridiculous rant now.
Mind you, there's lots around, mostly by people who agreed with him.
It's funny!

It's not hard to make your betting acount look good - you just need to deposit a lot of money in to it.

I don't have to justify or explain anything - but I can assure you Schards never puts more than a tenner into his account - every few months. I do hope this helps.

This is a serious question - do you have a sense of humour, becasue your reply showed a a major lack of one to what was a sarcastic comment by myself?
