The Real Sandhurst Royal Cardiff, Norwich, Swansea and Reading will all drop points before the end of the campaIgn.

I am going for Cardiff to drop 4, Norwich 3, Reading 4.

The top two will be QPR and Cardiff (on goal diffrence).

Reading to finish fourth and win the play offs it's our turn.

This week probably decides it. If Cardiff beat QPR, it'll become incredibly difficult.

I'd like QPR to screw up tonight so if they lose at Cardiff...

We have nothing to fear in the play off, we have barely been top 6, whereas Cardiff and Norwich have been there almost all season, Cardiff, with their big names on 50k a week, expect to go up.

And lets face it we have not beaten a team in the top 6, so we have no chance of promotion should we fail to get 2nd.

Ferris
Snowball
Ferris QPR
Swansea

Norwich
Cardiff
Burnley
Leeds

We'll finish 11th behind Forest, Pompey, Watford and Leicester

You want some money on that?

Does it have to be in that exact order?

Any order you like, Ferris :D

Snowball Copy of what I posted. There seems to be too many points in there, but...

There are so many six pointers! Forest, IMO need a miracle!

LOL

Snowball I think it's quite likely that both Forest and Leeds will FAIL and end up out of the top six

LOL

Snowball I have RFC drawing with Pompey

LOL

Snowball Losing at Leeds

LOL

Snowball drawing at Forest[/b]

LOL

Snowball IMO if there are a lot of drawn 6-pointers we could get a huge surprise, like Pompey or RFC sneaking 2nd place on the last day

LOL

Snowball What I'd also say (and this is fresh) is if we were to lose at home to Pompey
I could imagine us then drawing with Preston, and maybe the bubble bursting

Life's tough when you actually have to make a prediction rather than an endless list of non-statements, eh?

I made my prediction, depressed after the Sheffield Utd game
and thought we'd be pipped for 6th by Burnley

But a game later, over that I predicted 73-74 points "even if we lost to Leeds and Forest"

I have been predicting virtually all season that we'd make the POs (except for that one dark period after Sheffield Utd away)

I said if we finished with 3rd best GD we'd be 3rd or 4th, and I did that back in November.

Fair play if that's true, I don't recall anyone mentioning the POs all season.

Happy to admit I didn't think we'd make the play-offs at all until we were into that blinding run. In fact, regardless of what happens in the POs I think BMcD has fashioned a silk purse out of a sow's ear this season and should be very proud of what he's done. Didn't expect it at all.

I think it's quite likely that both Forest and Leeds will FAIL and end up out of the top six. Cardiff may come back as they have an easier run-in.

I think the above was pretty good forecasting, Forest dropping out and now looking like scraping sixth, and Leeds failing to make the POs

Who else predicted them being so badly off come the end of the season?

I've tried to be optimistic for other teams. I have RFC drawing with Pompey, beating Leicester, Losing at Leeds but drawing at Forest

Note that I was trying to PLAY DOWN our chances, "being optimistic for others".

That doesn't mean I believed we'd lose at Leeds etc,
it's erring on the pessimistic side (as described) to overcome rose-tinted glasses.

IMO if there are a lot of drawn 6-pointers we could get a huge surprise, like Pompey or RFC sneaking 2nd place on the last day

Note the IF, there

And here were my actual predictions

Top Five correct, predicted sixth club seventh.

01 94 QPR TOP
02 81 Norwich SECOND
03 79 Swansea
04 77 Reading
05 77 Cardiff
06 74 Leeds (in their own hands, but think they won't get this 74)

07 71 Portsmouth (predicted 7th, currently 16th)
08 71 Burnley (predicted 8th, currently 9th)
09 70 Hull (predicted 9th, currently 10th)
10 70 Forest (predicted 10th, currently 6th)
11 68 Watford (predicted 11th, currently 13th)

So I was pretty damn close except Pompey "blew" and Forest managed to come back

My argument has been that we had a very good GD and that was indicative of our true worth
and that we'd started badly LDDW which depressed our real worth.

If you look at the table since 28 August we are a clear play-off side, 3rd lowest number of defeats,
2nd best GD, 3rd best goals-scored

1 42 21 16 05 61 30 +31 79 1.88 Queens Park Rangers
2 42 21 14 07 76 53 +23 77 1.83 Norwich City
3 42 22 08 12 61 38 +23 74 1.76 Swansea City
4 42 19 15 08 72 46 +26 72 1.71 Reading
5 42 21 09 12 68 51 +17 72 1.71 Cardiff City
6 42 19 13 10 64 47 +17 70 1.67 Nottingham Forest
7 42 17 14 11 74 65 +09 65 1.55 Leeds United

Dick Habbin's hairdo on 22nd March What a complete load of nonsense, but quite interesting. Just filled in all the results on the Predictor and came up with:
GD Pts
QPR 49 95
Swansea 23 84
Norwich 25 82
Cardiff 23 81
Reading 29 77
Forest 15 73
Watford 23 72
Leeds 8 72
Burnley 11 69
Hull 4 68
P'mouth 5 67
Leicester 2 66
Millwall 15 65

All of which absolutely implies that Leeds have a shocking run-in.

Top six almost exactly as predicted and, yes, Leeds have had a shocking run-in. 8)

Blimey, thank you 3Vee'ers, I'd forgotten all about this. Not far off on the goal difference, either.

Now can I have a job watching footy matches for the bookies, please?
