A good and accurate appraisal of Harte IMO. Even setting aside the argument about his age and pace, your thoughts re: McDermott not getting enough praise for this signing are spot on.

Unfortunately, theres a few mongs on here who'll completely disagree.

One thing. He's not 32. He's 33, turning 34 in August. He's never been a long term solution, but you have to ask if he even has more than 12 months in him.

I generally agree with the sentiment though. He will help out with goals at 1 end and cost them at the other. It's just a case of staying "in the black" as it's phrased.
