We are in a terrific run of form but I don't think I'll ever be crowing from the rooftops about the "p" word after seeing us royally fvck it up in 2009 from a great position

This is a scenario which hasn't been completed yet, it could still end up completely wrong or completely right so you might want to check the meaning of "incorrect". There have been a lot of good constructive replies in this thread though so its been worthwhile other than 1/2 angry posters looking for confrontation rather than discussing the points.

At least we are in the race for it which is more than most of us had hoped and its making for an exciting season, I just want the good guys to prevail for a change. We do things the right way at this club financially, the way we conduct ourselves on the pitch and the behaviour of our fans so its about time we got some luck against big spending mercenary clubs such as west ham for instance.

Lets hope good prevails and we finish top two.

melonhead
themadstad Tough run in and that'll be where we drop most points. Missing out on 2nd is certain then we'll lose in the play offs once again.

The other way to look at things is to cast your mind back to how things looked after the Watford home game, give thanks that we're at the right end of the table and enjoy the unpredictability of it all.

Winchester Royal
grey_squirrel I have a sneaking suspicion we will beat WHU, 1-0 in, an end-to end, dirty, smash and grab, anxious nailbiter with a red card for us - can just see it being one of those games - and we'll get a bore draw at Southampton.

Southampton really annoy me. One man team. Fair enough, but as good as Lambert is, *that* last minute "lucky" pen at Millwall put my back up. Especially as it nearly brought Le Tiss to orgasm on Soccer Saturday.

What really annoyed me is that Millwall were winning with 5 minutes to go, and the it's two oxf*rd penalties that won Southampton the game. The first one was soft as, as well, and coming from behind like that is going to be give them the confidence when a defeat there could really have hit their morale, especially if they were knocked off of top spot in the process.

I've just got a bad feeling that were going to do everything but go up - I reckon we'll have an excellent run and with 3 games to go, it'll be ours to lose. and then we'll lose it, like we did in the Birmingham season.

West ham won't be easy but I reckon we can beat them - just got the feeling that we'll get the points there and then lose against Forest or somebody like that...

In all fairness during the Birmingham season we lost it in Feb when we didn't win at home again. We only got back into it with a few away wins at the end and the abysmal form of the other contenders which kept us in it.

This season is different - it is us turning up the heat on West Ham, the relagated prem club like us the other year and I can see them bottling it just like we did.

As Jeremy Paxman might say -yeeeeaaaaaasssssss.... :|

Annoyingly good result for them. Made even more annoying by hearing the smugness of Adkins on Radio 5 Live.

Very sad that you choose to bump this thread as if to say "Yes Reading lost. I knew it"

Maguire
muddyfeet no horrible feeling yet, I genuinely think this could be our year.

This.

Astounded how well we've done this season (as we all are) and don't see why we can't do it. Win at Saints or West Ham and we're laughing.

Good feeling has gone

Well chin up MFers. We cannot win every match. Done by a bogey team and running out a team who are needing a rest. Recoup for the charge to the finishing line.
