Happy with this. Straight into the squad if relatively fit.

Was he signed before deadline to be eligible for tomorrow?

Ps more than a Rumour now?

Pretty sure deals have to be submitted before Friday midday to be eligible for Saturday matches. Given the wording of the confirmation tweet, it seems like the deal was submitted this evening and will not be done in time for tomorrow. Hope to see him there but doubt it

There you go, from the website. Not in contention for tomorrrow

The move is still subject to final ratification of all paperwork from the football authorities but we expect this to be a formality. He will take squad number 27 and, although not signed in time to be in contention for a place in the squad this weekend, Kelly will be at Madejski Stadium to watch his new teammates take on West Brom on Saturday.

Good signing, just the type of player, someone with PL experience, many of us have been calling for...welcome to the team.

Bloody hell, 'big transfer' overload on the article on the website, even wheeling out Sir John to tell us how amazing this is. Very keen to tell us he's played in the Premier League before, hallelujah!

Distinctly underwhelming signing - still at least it's a step in the right direction and let's hope he is a success here

"Comfortable on either the right or the left side of defence"

So a kick up the arse for all 4 LB/RB's.

The reaction to the signing is ridiculous. I have no idea what people were expecting, if one newspaper headline is enough to make people expect Messi, then oxf*rd...

Yep good signing.

LB is FAR more important/urgent but it's early days.

Until then we can use kebe on the left to cover for tortoise I guess.

From a Reading fan I know via Twitter

Not really sure why Reading have signed another shit right back, we already have 2 and don't need another #readingfc

2 world wars, 1 world cup Yep good signing.

From the OS:
"Comfortable on either the right or the left side of defence"
Although, if I recall correctly, this is the same OS that said either Tabb or Matejovsky could play on the wing.

What a let down.

Signings like this tool is why this club is already relegated.
