2 world wars, 1 world cup Actually looking at all the saves again, McCarthy either didn't know anything about them, the shots were straight at him or too slow. Main standout pint was his poor distribution.
Feds back please.

soggy biscuit From the liverpool forum:
Being at the match today was embarrassing
The behavior of some of our 'fans' today was awful. I was ashamed of some of them. They should be ashamed of themselves with the things they did. We won no friends there today and considering the very warm reception we received, the immaculately observed minutes silence, the joining in of some of the Reading crowd to 'Justice, for the 96, Justice, for the 96...', the signs they held up in support and the welcome signs with JFT96 on them at our entrance, it is no surprise that by the end of the game having watched how about a third of the fans behaved that the Reading crowd were hurling abuse, cans, and singing 'Always the victim, it's never your fault.' After all the good will by the end they hated us.
When questioned on it:
It started before the game outside the stadium with extremely loud bangers, not like firework bangers but 'see the flash' bangers. Then as soon as they got into the stadium they started letting off the same bangers in the crowd, then they let of the loud smoke bombs, kids were crying and frightened, frankly they sounded extremely loud, we were about 18 rows or so behind them and it was deafening so it must have been awful for the little kids there. These went off along with smoke bombs for almost the entire first half. Then as the crowd in the lower block next to the pitch got pretty much out of control doing the conga - and dragging people along who clearly didn't want to be a part of it - the stewards and police got involved and had to form a line around the fans to 'calm them down'. The ring leaders were clearly warned and they seemed to calm down until half time when people ran scared from the tunnel as the fans threw bins, beer and food all over the place. Then they were refused entry back into the stadium until they got rid of the extra beer they had and had calmed a little again.
They spent most of the game trying to wind up the opposing fans, chanting about Maggie Thatcher and eff the Tories and Southerners. They were not the usual crowd I see at away matches, they were not interested in football, they were there to cause issues and if it weren't for excellent stewards and policing then there would likely be two stories in the newspapers tonight.
The chanting got angry and nasty and families that had clearly traveled a distance (including the Scouse family in front of us, left before half time for fear it would get much worse. They were so disappointed and the dad was incandescent with rage at the behaviour now affecting his family.

soggy biscuit Genuine question - what justice are Liverpool fans still campaigning for?

RoyalTankUnbelievable Jeff2 world wars, 1 world cup McAnuff 8 excellent excellent performance all over the place. One of the only players who looked like doing anything for us.
I really fail to see why a lot of people are rating McAnuff so highly? I thought he was very average today bar a couple of runs.
His decision making was poor, he missed placed many passes and failed to capitalise on a few chances
were you watching the same match mate?
really do not understand why so many mongs hate jobi.

Course they're not being serious, its just a wind up. If they are being serious they are the biggest fcuktards I've seen on this board.Barry the bird bogglercreative_username_12 world wars, 1 world cup Actually looking at all the saves again, McCarthy either didn't know anything about them, the shots were straight at him or too slow. TBM I wish McAnuff would stop throwing himself to the floor for a "penalty" and actually put the cross in

I just wish he would just get a cross in, period
Seriously don't get the adulation for his performance yesterday
Several opportunities went begging and he is simply not decisive when he needs to be, most obviously the chance to shoot first time late on in second half
