Victor Meldrew Not sure that QPR are that fussed and coming from Fulham he may have just trained with QPR as it is a few miles away-it happens at a lot of clubs

Redknapp said they offered him a deal they thought he'd accept, and Reading must be offering big wages if he chose us over them.

Not necessarily, Harry might have thought he would accept a certain amount but he didn't.

Rest assured,. on the basis of the interviews Harry has given to their local rags, he is really pissed that we snatched Bridge away from them and have now followed that up with Baird. Moaning about high wages is so rich from a guy who has done so much to plush up transfer fees, wages and inducements.

BTW, those doubting that Harry has commented on us paying big wages should take the trouble to click on the links to the press reports that have been posted in this thread.

Any players names I say you're just going to say you've never heard of them, probably say something about Chalobah and McEachran joining Forest and Watford, add a 8) at the end and just be a general trolling nuisance.

And now that I've guessed how you would have replied you'll just go with the preditabLOLe RattLOLed schtick.

So Harry got Essou-Ekotto instead of Bridge-I would have thought that a better option.
Apart from wingers I can think of probably 8 other midfielder already such as:-
Barton
Carroll
Krancjar
Jenas (?)
Faurlin
O'Neill
Henry
Diakite
So do you think he is that worried about not signing Baird when they are already top of the league?

Personally I am pleased that Baird has come to us and wouldn't be surprised to see him come straight in for Jem tomorrow and as a seasoned performer he won't have too much trouble fitting in.

windermere_royal Was training with the fake hoops looks we did Arry up again says on SKY he is a defender.

He is principally a right back, but he has significant amounts of experience in central midfield and elsewhere in the defence. He played against us in central midfield last year.

I once told a Southampton fan who was talking up his academy that Fulham and City would be pleased to receive £1.10 for Baird and Bridge combined (neither was playing and both were on high wages). Looks like I was being generous.

He's played as a CDM and also everywhere across the back. Adkins commented earlier he'll predominately feature as a CDM here, but we also have some much needed cover at the back as well now. He's a good signing. Fulham fans rated him, he's just fallen down the pecking order now and at 31 wants regular first-team football.
