Update after a week off...

http://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/loa ... t-march-12

Shame Andersen still can't break into the Randers team, as mentioned elsewhere Carrico scored while Arnold and Wycombe slowly turning it around, though Wycombe fans aren't exactly raving about how good he's been.

Still not going to cover him ;)

Meanwhile an injury for Carrico and an interview from Ryan Edwards are the main news stories from the latest loan report on The Tilehurst End.

Loanees seem a bit disappointing this year compared to the last couple. Is this to do with keeping more players at the club to play in better quality games now we're cat 1?

I feel for Andersen. His future seems a little bleak at the moment.

I think that's got a lot to do with it, there seems to be a bit more of a desire to keep players in a more controlled environment.

A real shame Samuel got injured on his loan debut, he could be making an impact with the first team now if that had gone well.

Wonder if we'll see more loans now Clarke is in. Tshibola needs to play against adults to see if his natural languid (not in a bad way, he's just plays in a manner that makes it look very easy for him) style in midfield hold up, so it's a good move for him.

Even if he doesn't do well it wouldn't be a disaster but it would be great for the club for him to go there and walk into the side and stand out. It would be nice to see some real evidence of the quality of our U21 as so few have spent time away its kind of hard to judge whether we have an inflated view of their promise

Not a bad idea to loan out a few of the U21s to get them some "competitive" experience against the big boys. As long as we get him back as from what I saw last season from the U21 games I think he'll have a bright future.

Maybe a few others would benefit as well. The likes of Aaron Kuhl, Craig Tanner & Jack Stacey have been on the bench & made the odd appearance for the firsts but suspect their chances will be limited to U21s now the injury list is reducing.

I guess it's a balance between loaning them out to give them experience and keeping them safe and ensuring they develop good habits.

Some would definitely benefit from a loan... but it's important to find the right club.

Depending on what happens with Jem and Guthrie we could easily see lots more of Kuhl in the first team next season.

Rob Dickie went on loan to Basingstoke over Christmas, and their local sporting hack has compared him to Franz Beckenbauer:

Did well apparently and sky sports highlighted his performance in the coverage, but missed the target with a couple of shots. Nerves probably.

Played very well by all accounts, but missed a very good chance to score. They like him.

And James Harper is there too!

I make it five current or former Royals - Dickie, Moore, Harper, Soares, and Cox.
