To be honest I only did it because I wanted to be able to start an almost identical thread as this time last week.

LoyalRoyalFanSilver Fox ROFLs @ the many on here who got it so badly wrong, despite having the benefit of TV replays, unlike the ref
It's a red card, baffling from the FA to not support the referee.

Royal Biscuitman In future, Ref's might be hesitant to show a Reading player a red card on the grounds that we've successfully overturned the last two.

parkyTommyFparky I am amazed that has been rescinded. It's a big two fingers up to the referee from the FA for a decision like that.
I disagree. I think the discussion and disagreement here shows that the ref had a few seconds to make a decision that was very difficult.
With the benefit of replays us fans are split 70-30 and whilst I never thought it was a sending off I don't think there is anything for the ref to be sorry for and good on the FA for admitting that sometimes refs get things wrong in difficult situations.
The Pearce red card is another story though. That was appalling and cost us the game and the ref should face some form of reprimand.
The LOTG say fouls and misconduct decisions are made in the opinion of the referee.
Pearce, I agree with you as it wasn't an obvious goal scoring opportunity which means the referee simply got it wrong to the letter of the law. But this is different, it is a matter of opinion between the referee and the FA. The only way this has been rescinded for me is if the referee said he got it wrong in his match report or when the FA were looking into it.
The very fact that the decision was a difficult one to make and opinion is split is why they should have stuck with the referees decision.

LoyalRoyalFan Gorkss gave the referee the opportunity to send him off. I think it would be best for Adkins to sit Gorkss out of the next game as a result of his stupidity, and give Hector the chance to not something so rash.
