People actually took the time to complain to them?

If it was BBC I could understand (licence fee etc) but just don't watch it if you think it's shit.

Was better than last week. They actually had some structure and not as much audience participation. Each league was shown individually rather than mixed up like last week. I think they listened to the critics. And it was worth sitting through to see Curetons excellent goal today.

Yeah I actually think the best thing they could do for Championship/L1/L2 coverage now is to scrap the studio element from the programme entirely and just have a brief introduction to the first few games on the show just by voice and then have reporters/commentators at the games.

There would be a lot more room for action then and you could probably have extended highlights of all the championship games in the MOTD format and then L1/L2 highlights.

I've never been able to work out why they can't do a show long enough so it can dedicate an hour to each league. It's not like there is anything else on, or that a couple of nomarks in a room with some highlight reels is particularly expensive TV.

I think it's something to do with the rights they've actually paid for, ie. that they're only allowed to show xx amount of minutes from any league, so not much point having a really long show. I could be wrong, and if so I would have actually split this into two shows. One showing Championship highlights in a MOTD format (maybe they don't even need to show quite as long highlights of each match being that there are usually only 6 or 7 Premier League games on a Saturday opposed to the 11 or 12 Championship games), then a very short amount of 'expert' views for each game (literally just talking about any important/controversial moments in the game), and then either have a separate show for L's1&2 on Sunday morning, or move them online.

Incidentally, if anyone is interested in how to download highlights from the player.reading site (I assume not as nobody replied to my posts), I've finally managed to get an application that works brilliantly: Total Video Downloader for Mac.

Saw this on Saturday and it wasn't too bad for the Championship section.

Thought Virgo was very decent and demonstrated good knowledge.

S l. o. w l. Y warming to it.

Just need to shake off the adverts every seven minutes, and it could be almost as good as the worst ever BBC offering

Watched it this weekend and it's still almost as shyte as it started off like.

Ipswich were awarded a really controversial penalty that wasn't even discussed.

Presenter later asks Virgo a question and then cuts across him when he was only half way through his answer. Very little post match analysis and not many comments from managers.

The presenters, particularly Kelly whatsherface, seem barely capable of speech at points. It's incredibly amateurish.

But at least now they've cut back on the stuido audience participation and show the games in a logical order it's just about bearable.

It's getting a little bit better but not enough for me to stop watching it on Sky+ and fast forward the studio bits.

Reading Player's 10 mins of highlights is much better. And the club usually releases the standard programme highlights on Youtube anyway... so there's really no reason to watch it other than curiosity about what they say about us.
