Seems as if the front 5 are intentionally pushing high up the pitch to create space . That's why Stam is looking for technically good defenders that are comfortable with the ball.

OK, but the point of creating space is so that you can exploit it. If there are no players IN that space, it's just space.

Early days have patience. Still coming together.

Agreed, and not losing patience for sure. The point is though that when we have the ball at the back we seem to adopt a 4-1-5 formation, which seems strange. It leaves the defence with few viable forward looking options (hence the endless passing between them) and the service to the strikers is less measured than it could be.

Nameless
Top Flight I haven't seen it on video Ian. I saw it from the stands. My comments are based on what I saw from a distance away.

Ok, so your massive over reaction was based on not really knowing what actually happened. Now someone has explained that you misread the situation I'm guessing you'll have a rethink and agree you were wrong.

There's only room for one of us on this board who makes extremely ill informed comments based on not really seeing things clearly and I'm not about to give up that role....

Maybe I was a bit wrong on that one. Still though, Yann's intention was obvious. As soon as Rosenior had the ball, Yann had targeted him. It was very clear what was on his mind. I didn't see the crunching of the tackle, my view was slightly obscured. But, the aftermath told me that it couldn't have been soft and Yann's intention was to dish out a punishment.

genome Are you that Brighton fan from NSC they said they were sending over ages ago to "lay low" and do "subtle trolling"?
