Pure, sick poetry that Davies *clearly* sticks an arm on it in the box off the penultimate kick of the game. Feels like we're never going to get another penalty. Or win at home for that matter.

That game was over, and we handed it back to Derby on a platter. We even tucked their napkin in and cut their food up for them. I lost count of the number of times we just flat out gave the ball away in the second half. Swift should have come off a lot earlier. Pretty sure that's the worst I've seen from him this season.

Seeing out a 2-0 lead at home against the bottom side in the division, regardless of whether their position is artificial or not, should be straightforward. Responsibility rests, once again, with the manager.

clauski Frustrating waste of points. Not Paunovic's fault in my opinion but the team naturally are sitting back on leads, they seem to change their mindset. Need a leader on the pitch to stop that rot.

It is entirely his fault. He made that decision to sit back. He should be inspiring that team and they clearly don’t think much of him.

Royal_jimmy We really have thrown this away. Manager is only to blame. Why did we take Swift off? Made absolutely no sense

He was shit, that’s why.

Protecting our best player at 2-0 up is hardly controversial either.

Swift was by far and away our worst player on the day.
He looks as if he’s already left

However, everyone is allowed a bad one.
Just such a pity so many of them chose today

We could not string two passes together at all in the second half
I’d just like to say that Derby didn’t deserve anything from the game
(I’d like to say that but can’t, really)

Can't agree. Only one person to blame and that's Paunovic. That is what happens when your default and only tactic is to sit back and invite pressure. Yep Southwood made a howler, but you have to ask why he's constantly under pressure.

Millsy Another Southwood error costs us.

And that wasn't his first "ball through the arms" this game - the first one was minutes earlier where the ball luckily hit his leg.

I like the lad of course but we're just so unlucky with keepers.

Don’t forget Southwoods saves before the error. He has been excellent this season and you have to expect young players to make some howlers.

We both scored through one unstoppable effort and one goal keeping error. Gutted to concede to two late goals, but that happens in football.

I'm not going to defend the manager too much - it's his job to mould a combative team from the players he's got. But you do have to acknowledge what he's dealing with. From the 11 players that started against Stoke in our first game of the season only two started today (Laurent and Swift). Pauno is basically having to rebuild the team every couple of months at the moment - and that never works out well.

Not normally a fan of punching the ball but that's where many keepers would have just got that ball away...

The main problem we seem to have is that when we take the lead we try to sit back and protect it rather than keeping playing and trying for more goals. And frankly we are just not good enough at protecting leads. Today was so similar to the Blackpool game - although thankfully we did get one point this time.

You have to wonder about the manager when you keep making the same basic error which causes pressure which we are not able to deal with.

Exactly that, I do like the lad.,

Brave as hell, literally puts his face in danger to keep balls out. Really passionate. Runs the clock down etc etc.

But that's now three times I've seen a ball go through his arms.

Yes he's young but it's not like he's 19.

It’s the complete inability to keep the ball for any more than two touches that is massively impacting the team

Confidence is shot (which is something we could do with in the game … a shot, I mean)

And when you’re where we are, decisions like the handball don’t go for you (sadly)

You get what you deserve, ultimately. Sitting back so much cost us.

Shame for Southwood, he was perfectly fine before the misjudgment. Femi’s miss was as costly as Southwood’s tbh.

Giving Davies a free header, even from there, was also as bad.

Otherwise that was looking like a handy 3 points.

For a club in such financial disarray, how do they have so many big names playing for them? I guess the same could be said of us….

There's nothing lucky about the ball hitting his leg. That's why keepers position themselves that way. So a slip through the hands hits their body or legs.

It's not an error if he makes the save and retains the ball.

We are worse than Sunday League breaking with the ball.

How many times did we start to break but failed to pass the ball then got dispossessed before we’d actually got out of our own half?

We are a really poor outfit, appallingly managed. I don’t care how many injuries we’ve had, we can’t do the basics and are the worst team I’ve seen in 40 years at game management.

Abysmal.

I'd rather see Swift gone ASAP tbh.

It's always very concerning when a player who's been with us for years and who clearly has talents suddenly starts playing brilliantly only when the end's in sight.

It really doesn’t help that the team sits back so much, issues have to lie with the management and the continual lack of threat, there’s never much of an outlet with everyone so deep.

True but you'd be lying if you said that wasn't slightly concerning.
