Fergy same as Dann and Joao, (2 months)

So that`s 5 potential first teamers missing already for an unknown amount of time looking at our record.

Joao out for 2 months? I thought it was 2-3 weeks?

It is 2 or 3 weeks but given Ince told Dellor a couple of days ago Joao was touch and go for today I wouldn’t get your hopes up. It’s a big blow.

Exactly this. Likewise Azeez's 6-8 week return from a pulled hamstring might seem overly optimistic, particularly for someone Ince describes as a power athlete. The club just don't seem to know how to manage supporters expectations. Far better, IMO, to give a later date and then everyone be pleased if a player returns sooner. Under promise and over deliver usually works best.

Yep agree. It’s a shame about Azeez, he could be so good but it’s starting look like his body can’t take the rigours of professional football which is a real shame for a young player. Am starting to wonder if a 2 year contract was a good idea, especially as our finances are so tight.

I suspect that age has a lot to do with it - pushing young, possibly still developing, bodies too far, too early.

Yep this is one of the frustrations I have, Just be straight and if a player is out for a good while then tell it how it is.

No, that`s why i put it in brackets, there were times last season when Paunovic said players were a couple of weeks away and were out for several months.

Really frustrating about Joao's injury, all of them really as we need all we can get, especially looking at the lack of options today.

Don't understand why Puscas wasn't there unless he was injured or a move away is imminent?

Puscas may not be match fit or not being played to protect him from injury
Either way we are paying his wages so if he is fit then get him in the squad

He has to be considered if Joao is out and no replacement on the way

Well at least we won’t lose Joao this transfer window.

I know he hasn't had many minutes with us but he's been training with us and I don't think a 10 minute cameo, similar to what Long had today, would have been the end of the world.

Even if not him, we should have used Clarke I think as well.

So nothing seems to have changed from last season’s joke of an injury list. One game in and already the injury list is stretching to 6, which I think is worse that it was at the same stage last season.

Moore
Dann
Joao
Tetek (?)
Azeez
Bang & Olufson (but at least he’s only a triallist)

However of that lot at least Joao’s the only one who would likely matter to supporters but with Long, Clarke, Meite and Puscas you would think the club would have decent cover available.

Let’s hope this does not spread and the club starts losing other senior players.

Hutchinson missing off that list as well.

It did show a lot today, but Loum is available next week, hopefully Sarr is confirmed sooner rather than later and hopefully we can bring someone else in (Omari Hutchinson for example) as well during the week. Puscas might be "available" as well, so even without them, it still leaves us with 4/5 senior options on the bench. Today we literally just had Long, the others had very few appearances between them.

Mind you, we've yet to learn who 'picked up knocks' during today's game!

You can add Hutchinson to that list

You always think it can`t be worse but somehow they manage it, still early days though.

I'm totally fed up with Joao - he seems to be made of glass. What was the point of signing up Dann - he has hardly played for us whereas Morrison at least made the fielld. Do we have too many crocked older guys ? Not good

Guess that’s why Joao is with us and not in the prem league - been the story of his career

Hutch is a big loss and agree need to involve Puscas if Joao is out. Unless he is either in the final stage of a move elsewhere or injured no reason not to have him about

However you look it we’re very unlucky with injuries. Not sure if it’s because we’re just signing crocks or whether it’s down to the training methods we use but it just feels like a constant conveyor belt. I appreciate all teams get injuries and maybe ours feel worse because of the lack of depth in the squad.

When I watch Joao play for all his brilliance at times he does look like an accident waiting to happen. I can’t put my finger on it and maybe it’s to do with him having a poor centre of gravity. I think Azeez could be special but his explosiveness is probably always going to make him liable to pull a hamstring. I just hope things improve as it’s clear if they don’t it could cost us our place in the Championship.

We basically have 3 injury-prone forwards in Joao, Long & Meite. You have to hope & pray they don’t sync their injuries.

I guess that’s why Ince still wants another striker at Champ level.

Dann is a frustration to me…how many games has he actually played? At this point, I wouldn’t have renewed his contract when it was renewed. Morrison has lost his legs but might have been adequate as a back up.

None of them especially good.
