15% is over 11.000. i would expect an initial allocation of around 6,000, and then more if we need them

15% is indeed over 11,000, but the MAXIMUM allocation is 9,000.

Middlesbrough took 10k last season. Hopefully the club don't do what happened at Man City back in 2011 and only take half the allocation we could have had so many of our fans missed out

The allocation they ask for is on a "sale or return" basis, so they'll only ask for the number they can be confident of selling, and they'll err on the side of caution. With the variability of crowds of late they'll almost certainly get it wrong.

Sutekh On the bright side the chances are we can probably play a game of “spot the ManU first teamer”. And you just know the cash will be boosted with the BBC or ITV fawning all over United so what’s the betting it gets switched to a Friday or Monday night? If it’s aMonday game than the Sheff U game will have to be rearranged for later in the season.

Pretty sure the Sheff U game will be rearranged whatever day we play Man U

Am assuming Stukeh meant that it couldn't just be shifted to the Wednesday night, as often happens, if Utd is the Monday live game.

In the likely event that Utd beat Charlton in the League Cup this week, then the FA Cup is sandwiched between LC semi final dates, so imagine it will end up being the Saturday/Sunday lunchtime game.

Will be very surprised if the game gets moved. United are playing every 3 days up until March

Maybe, but I can certainly see a lunchtime or evening kick-off on the Saturday for TV - can't imagine one of them won't want to show this match.

Between BBC and ITV they showed 6 games on TV and at least 2 on the red button - there are only 16 games, so if they go with 8 live again, I fail to see how it won't be selected even if just as a red button game, so will either be Saturday lunchtime/evening or the early Sunday game.

Good memories of the 1-1 there under Coppell when he picked our cup team.
Seasons tend to roll into one for me at times but weren't we 3-0 down in the replay after about 10 minutes and Bryn hit the bar near the end when a goal would have made it 3-3 ?

I'm hoping for a kick-off time before Sunday as we are away for a week from that Sunday.

Actually, there is a bit of space around then to move it. Utd play Arsenal 6 days before the tie

Paul Ince going back to OT. Guaranteed to be on id imagine

Good win for Stevenage. Fear for the state of Steve Evans’ health though. Heart attack waiting to happen there

Thanks Hendo for pointing me in that direction.
Bearing in mind where we were in the Premiership at the time the result would not have been the biggest shock to outsiders.

One of my favourites games. Federici was just terrible in the first few minutes and we were 3 down in six minutes - but Kitson, just coming back from the injury in the first PL match v Boro, was inspired, and the whole world was willing us to claw it back.

This was Feb 2007 and the bar stopped vibrating from Bryn's shot in around September that year.

As someone said before if Utd beat Charlton tomorrow then the league cup semi’s(2 legs) are either side( midweek) of the FA cup match.

Yeah, that makes sense. I thought it was games every 3/4 days until March

Hound It’s a free transfer signing on a decent wage for 2 seasons pretty much. Be very useful cash

Great way to look at it.

When will the date and time of the game be announced? Man City are also at home that round and can't play the same day. Hoping the games not on a Friday or Monday night as I probably won't be able to make it. Saturday night game would be preferable

He's a cup show pony manager. He did brilliantly twice with Bradford in cup competitions but what's he achieved anywhere bar that? Wrexham are a big fish in non-league so would be expected to be up there. Flopped at Charlton and Bolton who are around the same sized clubs as us.

TV picks should be known by end of the week.

Not having any of that - utter nonsense.

Colchester - kept them up when favourites to go down and then promoted to Championship following season. Some feat that at Colchester.

Charlton - took over from Pardew at the start of Charlton's demise, got them into play offs then fell away following season.

Bradford - Got them promoted out of league 2, then got them into play offs in league one the following season - adding on that incredible cup run success reaching a final, and in fa cup knocking out Chelsea.

Bolton - got them promoted to Championship whilst under embargo. How on earth can that be classed as a flop. Dreary me.

Sunderland - who would not fail at that club.

Wrexham - leading a charge to the Football league plus into 4th round of fa cup.

That good enough for you? Not many managers can top that in the time he has been manager.
