Phew, Swansea beating Watford 4-0, shows what a good win that was.

Brogue Oof nearly a peno. FT

Holmes rides the line always, but I feel that was just about enough of a physical challenge for the ball just the right side of too physical - no pen for me, although that sort of thing probably should be.

Or that Watford with TDB and Bacuna in the middle are utter shite

Great result and a well played game from Reading. Credit to Pince for the subs, bringing on Meite and NGW clearly gave us that additional attacking threat especially down the left.
NGW is a raw talent but so much better than Babba and TMac in that position. I really hope Pince gives him an extended run in the team the balance is so much better.

Classic case of McIntyre is the better player, but crowbarred in outof his comfortzone, whilst NGW fits the position. Should always go with Team over individual imo.

And tbh, McIntyre could press Sarr quite close for his spot.

Coming from a goal behind away from home on the telly? We really have turned the corner haven’t we? Pince really is getting the most out of this squad.

Really good performance and thoroughly deserved the draw at least. Loum was probably the best player overall, NGW obviously getting his chance and doing well to earn the penalty, well taken by Carroll. Great shift by the lads, 1 point more than everyone thought we'd get that we can add onto the total. Some decent saves by Lumley as well, just a poor goal to concede and it's come from not clearing our lines properly and Sarr losing out to Sargent in the air which should never be happening.

Plenty of efforts tonight as well and we carried a threat in open play, on the counter attack and from set pieces. So it's not as if we necessarily rode our luck and waited for our opportunities, we generally took the game to them and had our spells.

No idea why NGW doesn't start. Never deserved to be dropped.

Rahman could play a thousand games for us and never win us a penalty like that.

It is looking like this is going to be one of our rare uneventful seasons. Enough individual quality to overpower the poorer sides, not playing well enough as a team to beat the better ones. Just got to hope that we see a general improvement towards the end of the season and we can keep the players that matter in the summer.

As unpopular as it might be, I'd be tempted to say bring Moore in for Sarr. NGW and TMac are clearly very different players, but so far the latter has done well in that position and I think it allows a bit more freedom for Hoilett to go forward down the other side, whereas NGW is a bit more forward-thinking so is a good asset to have. I genuinely think it's a pretty good problem to have.

It might also further add to the verdict of trying to send Rahman back and bringing someone more useful into our team.

I get McIntyre over NGW when we are trying to grind out wins. I don’t mind McIntyre there

But getting close to being able to plan for the future/ be a bit braver and I’d like to see NGW have a run

No point playing Moore or Dann particularly. They won’t be here next year and not a great improvement on what we have

As other have said, more than happy with that nice away point against a decent side.
