Snowflake Royal Everyone likes a big day out in a nice stadium vs a big club. Especially if they're likely to win.

I dont think I have ever heard Reading described as a big club before

20 years above L1, 24k seater stadium. Seasons in the PL. Multi million transfer records. Category One Academy and first class training facilities.

We're absolutely not the biggest club in L1, but we're undoubtedly up there.

Yeh, but facilities dont make a big club do they. Look at MK dons. Fanbase, fame and honours surely. Any club can build stuff given money - but achieving and having a fanbase iss a completely ddifferent thing

Woop woop! On the train to the game and.quite excited. For the first time in ages going to a game doesn’t feel like a chore.

It's not the start of something good yet. But it does feel like the end of something shit finally.

Looking forward to the team news. One way or another there'll be a lot of new names on the pitch. They may not prove good, but they at least have fresh faces and no baggage of failure so they can get a bit of time.

G'arn Reading. Bit of football, some hard work and encouraging signs please.

That's why I said 20 years outside L1 and seasons in the PL.

You can add 12k - 13k average attendance, which would be in the top 5 or 6 of this division.

oxf*rd winning something 70 years ago making you a big club.

Big clubs have the facilities because they're big clubs.

Anyone who thinks Reading isn’t a big club in League One this season is deluded.

Very heavy rain here in Whitley, forecast rain all day with high winds. I can't see this going ahead.

Poorly timed family event means I can’t make today

Be interesting to see how it goes though - hopefully the new signings go well

Thanks, SDR. One of my media chums said it looks very doubtful we don't want another Leicester.
Anyway, I am off to the Engineers for a pint.
