I'm glad Sidwell is going, though I still thank him for what he did at Reading and he is great player and wish him the best. But, his position is one of them that I always wanted to see someone else in, and it always annoyed me that he was always guarranted. Midfield possession is where we always lack, and maybe we can get someone who provides that.

Glad Sir Steve is dropping Sid and looking at options.Arguably he could have started the process a few games back but better late than never.
Very happy with Gunnar partnering Harps in the midfield slot and Bikey looks like he could do more than a job there.I suspect as ever the royals scouts are monitoring prospects and as mentioned earlier the blooding of the likes of Karacan for a half or so may just bear fruit. Fortune favours the brave sometmes.

I think Bryn will do a good job, and with cover from Andre Bikey and Greg Halford we should be fine for tough tackling midfield enforcers.
I also think that Sidwell should go, he obviously wants to spread his wings and we should thank him for some fabulous performances and wave him goodbye (one of the longest goodbyes in history!

I am really looking forward to Halford launching his guided missiles next season, it should panic a few Premiership defences.

Michael Brown

If Pompey add in midfield, maybe Sean Davis.

Pretty sure Bouazza plays most of his games on the wing.

As for Michael Brown, he would spend half the season suspended.

A left winger for central midfield. And you criticise my suggestions? At least I am naming players who are central midfielders.

Plays across the midfield and my mate who is a Forest fan reckons central midfield is his best position.

Well then your mate is an idiot to put things bluntly. He is a winger that is carrying too much weight and hasn't got anywhere near achieving the huge levels of hype that surrounded him in his days at Stoke. As a replacement to Sidwell this is laughable!

You are obviously more of a forest fan than him then mate.

I think James Harper could prove to be a worthy Steve Sidwell replacement as attacking midfielder.

Leamington Royal I agree with the Olofinjana shout. Remember him 2 years ago in the last home game of the season and he absolutely bossed the game from CM. Does anyone know how he's come on since - I know he was out injured for a while.

I thought it was Seol and him that did the damage and said we should sign one of them.....so lets not get too hasty!

Koumas or someone in that mould. Sidwell going means we need 4 midfielders in pre season - two central and a winger for either side.

It should do - Hunt's not good enough, Harper's too weak, Sidwell's going and Little's getting more and pro injury prone as he ages.
