Good god, there is some sanctimonious garbage on this thread.

He hasn't been convicted yet and not one of you know the circumstances of this incident so I would suggest witholding your bile until you do.

What I do know from personal experience is that some TVP are utter arseholes and bare faced liars. The fact that this was leaked demonstrates their level of integrity. Police also seem to delight in celebrity.

I can well believe that Kitson was stopped because of who he is not what he'd done and took umbrage as a result. Stupid? Yes. Understandable? Maybe. Worthy of comparison with Lee Hughes? Do me a f***ing favour, whoever suggested that, on the basis of what IS known, is one complete twat.

If he was actually over the limit, he's done what the majority of the population have at one time or another, it's his first transgression, he'll be punished and it should have no effect on his football whatsoever.

If he simply got into an altercation with a tosser from TVP and was too stubborn to back down, he's stupid, it's a lesson learned and he would have some sympathy from me.

If he's aquitted, and i've know it happen more than once, I hope some of the judgemental tossers on this thread hang their heads in shame.

The thing is, surely no-one will ever actually know now whether he was over the limit or not, seeing as he refused both breath and urine samples?

As I said and others have said, at the very least he hadn't been drinking and got the @rse because he was stopped, hence his refusal to take a test.

At the other end of the scale, he knew he was over the limit and decided to chance his arm by not giving a sample.

Either way, he looks stupid, especially after all his mouthing off in the press recently. If he was that clever he would have taken the test, proved his innocence and slated the police every way he could.

Add to that that some of Lita’s transgressions, like the web incident, are not crimes at all, and I don’t see how Lita’s situation is any different.

I’m not advocating Kitson being dropped at all, this is a nothing story at the moment, and as above, many have done it, and will do it. But let’s not use double standards with Lita.

In my book driving whilst under the influence is the same as attempted manslaughter (if there was such a thing), just because you haven't done a Lee Hughes yet doesn't me you won't, by getting behind the wheel of a car when over the limit you are saying you'll take the risk with someone elses life (whether that be a person you run over or your family having to cope with you as a vegetable after a crash). Drink/Drugged driving = Utter C*NT.

That said if Kitson was sober and refused to take the test on principal then he is just about stupid enough that he deserves any punishment he is given!
