FiNeRaIn Afraid it doesn't work like that boys.
The media, pundits and history books all praise clubs with history and it makes them more attractive as clubs to players.
Reading couldn't sign anyone in two seasons in the top flight, wigan have had 3 now and still only manage to get unknowns that they pay well over the odds wages for. No one wants to join us or them because we have no history and have yet to proove we have a meaningful future either. I bet if us and derby go for the exact same player next season said player will pick derby every time, again also with wolves. Their dads will of told them wolves were once a big club and the player will opt for them, its just how it works, fickle or not. Players want glamour and spotlight and reading don't have either. Pure and simple why in 4 transfer windows in the prem we signed absolute diddly, no one wants to play for us, we are too small of a club.

From what sense I can make out of that, it is complete dross.
Example: 'Their dads will of told them wolves were once a big club and the player will opt for them'
What the phuck is that about?

readingbedding I think you've got your wires crossed.
You're babbling to the wrong person.
I haven't mentioned any clubs - apart from Leeds United.
If I had a choice between WIgan and Leeds United, it would be Wigan - all the way.

2 world wars, 1 world cup Totally Madejski's fault.
EVen if we're to believe the spin that money was available, the wage structure is what did it for us and that lies in Madejski's hands.
It was why Sidwell went (when Coppell was desperate for him to stay) and that's probably THE biggest reason we were a different side. And it's the reason we couldn't get anyone decent in.
99% Madejski, perhaps 1% Coppell for not really stamping his feet and demanding a more realistic wage structure.
This is so easy it shocks me that so many people can't see it.
