I hope not!! One good game at Old Trafford, and he was brilliant that day, and almost every other performance he has looked poor. Poor positioning, terrible going low to his right, his handling.

No.1? Please no!!

What a ridiculous thing to say.

A Fed has spent a long time sat on the bench counting minutes, and if he is expecting to take over from USA one day then he has to have some first team football so overal a good move to loan him out, its always a chance you take putting a young lad like Andersson on the bench but its the only way it is going to be possible to guage the full potential of Fed.

Have to agree with Deathy, I've only seen him against Blackburn, Spurs, Burnley and Stoke and he looked decidedly iffy at times in all of those games. However, a decent run of first team football is exactly what he needs.

Not any more. Aggravated his knee injury and faces another spell out.

Readingfc50 Federici gone on months loan to Southend

http://www.readingfc.premiumtv.co.uk/pa ... 84,00.html

is it possible to bring him back to reading early if USA gets injured?

Yip, this is a condition of loan deals. Always amazes me that 2nd choice goalkeepers don't do this more often given the odds against them actually being required for any given match.

Unless it's different for goalkeepers, I believe the answer is actually no. Players cannot be recalled in the first month of a loan deal, but can be recalled at any time after that.

Frontman Leroy Lita has agreed a loan move to Norwich City until 1st November. The striker has made four first team outings for the Royals without finding the target this season, and could make his Norwich debut at home to Derby on Saturday.

Royals boss Steve Coppell told readingfc.co.uk, "With a lot of strikers here competing for two places, this loan move is the best thing for Leroy at the moment. "Reserve team football is not regular or a good enough standard, and he wants to play every week so it's a great opportunity for him to do that at a very competitive level and hopefully score some goals."

Canaries boss Glenn Roeder commented, "I can't tell you how pleased I am to be able to secure this signing

"He has a fantastic goalscoring record in the Premier League and the Championship and he is someone that I believe will take the chances that we have been creating but not converting."

The Canaries are currently 19th in the Coca-Cola Championship with ten points from their nine games played so far. They went down 2-0 away to Southampton last night.

Lita's new teammates include a couple of former Reading man - striker Jamie Cureton and former loanee winger Luke Chadwick.

Earlier this week Sam Sodje returned to Reading after a loan at Watford was cut short due to injury. Adam Federici joined Southend on a month's deal last week, and was in the League One team of the week for his debut in a 3-0 win over Leyton Orient

I promise you it was Halls that did the barge...even my mate in the home end who was right by it said it was Halls. All the Chesterfield fans were booing Halls (number 20) eveytime he went near the ball. Maybe the ref booked the wrong player as Wilson is number 15 and even I can see that 20 doesn't look like 15!!

I've just seen the incident again...and it was Wilson....I was wrong  . Halls was the first player on the scene second later, which is why I was confused and also no doubt explains why the Chesterfield fans were booing Halls too. I'm sorry for the slur on John Halls good name.

More of a "One-that-got-away" watch than a Loan watch, I realise, but Simon Cox scored all 3 for Swindon tonight. Porter of Hartlepool responded with 3, including a last-minute equaliser.

Apart from the truly pathetic Francophobe comments earlier in the thread no-one seems to have mentioned Emerse Fae at Nice. Well, so far he has played seven league games out of seven, but missed their only Cup game. So my (not very) cryptic comment of the day is: "I believe the magic number is 20, which means 10th January is the earliest possible date."

I'm pretty sure that all the players we have out on loan will never play for the club again. Bar Lita (maybe)

I dunno, Federici stands every chance, and if Kelly is making the bench then Robson-Kanu and Davies could too.

Ah Federici will be our next number one. No one else though. I don't see why Kelly is on the bench tbh. Rather have Pearce who can play centre half and right back.(even centre mid if called upon)
