Stranded EP seems to be convinced that this is likely to happen this morning.

My EP says he'll be fit for Portsmouth at the weekend but if he doesn't get in the squad he may come here on loan!!?

'Greed - if we could get him on loan for a month it would cover 7 (or 8 if we it was up to and including 21/03) of our last 15 games. would be nice to see some attacking threat on the right wing too - something we haven't really seen for a while.

Considering Henry is onloan at Millwall, if something happens to Kebe then we're screwed for a natural right winger.......lets get him in!

If Hunt doesnt pull his socks up we could always put Kebe with his pace on the left and have little and his magic on the right. I'd be happy to watch that in the championship.

No, but I would be shocked if a club allowed a potential first team squad player to move anywhere on loan without a permanent manager in place.

Surely someone who is as peripheral as a 'potential' squad member is hardly going to be missed.....

I could agree with it being unlikely that a first teamer would be let go, or someone who is regularly part of the squad but a 30 something player who is no more than a 'potential' squad member is effectively out of the picture...

You missed the point. What if they wanted him on the bench to bring on as sub? He doesn't have to start games to be needed by the club.

Well in that case he's actually a member of the first team squad

Obviously anyone signed on by a club is 'potentially' a member but if he's currently not part of the group being used then why keep him ?

Because the next manager they appoint might want him in their plans for the first team?
I don't know if you've noticed by adams was sacked, he was the one not playing little. If a new man comes in and rates him, he's going to play.
If you were pompey, wouldn't you let the newly appointed manager decide who he wants before you start clearing players out?

I for one would love Little back
He was my favourite player when he was here and would be if he came back.

Pompey are in a mess financially. They could easily decide that they want to trim the wage bill and getting peripheral players out on loan would do that, in fact it's one of the only ways to do it now.

They may keep the current caretakers in place for the season - so easy decision to make.

They may already have a new manager in talks and be able to get a view on who he sees as part of his plans

Given the very limited impact of Little and his age it seems highly unlikely that any new manager will decide he is the asnwer to any of their problems

Just because they have a caretaker manager in charge doesn;t mean the club stands still - they still need to make decisions and loaning out a peripheral player is hardly going to be a tough one to make, or one with long lasting impact. A loan to the end of the season with a recall clause after a month would at worst give a new manager (if appointed) the chance to see a player actually playing some games.

I like Kebe, but if we'd of had Little on Saturday we would have won. Kebe got a few balls in there - but Little would have got more, quality balls in there. Come home white Pele

This one seems to have some legs, dodgy ones, but legs nonetheless.
