bishbosh92 Well will no by tonight wont we!

if kebes red card is succesfully appealed he has to start Henry is nothing comapred to him and i gurantee will score less goals

Henry will get his chance

Cardiff away in the Cup

Don't underestimate Henry...he could well save our skin tonight if Kebe's appeal isn't overturned.
Saying that, i don't think he'd start ahead of Bryn or Marek. But that's just my POV and i hope Kebe is able to play for us tonight.
im sure Henry will be a good player and in are starting 11 in a year or 2!!

but i dnt think hes ready just yet, and unfortuntly kebes appealing has been unsuccesful so it will be him or convey.

Not sure who i prefer.

I haven't seen much of Henry yet at all, i wasn't at the Cup game against Stoke, but i did hear reports (of that match), that he played very well. If he can play against a PL team (tho tbf they didn't really field their usual starting 11...unless im mistaken, the match was on my birthday  ), but considering...i think he'll do just fine tonight if he does start. It's important we see what future talent we have in the years to come to take over from players such as SHunt when he eventually leaves us, which i hope won't be until the summer!

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Can't see any point in not playing Henry.

Really don't think Marek has the pace to play on the wing. Our system works because of our wing players take people on and run their socks off. If Henry's crap tonight, then sure try something else. But although Henry is still young, it's time for him to step up and show us that he isn't just an over hyped youngster. Give him a chance.

My thinking is that if he's good enough to be on the bench for our past few matches, then why not start him?

We've got 2 games before Birmingham. All of which Kebe are suspended for.

Henry start tonight
Convey starts saturday

Then decide whos better off to start against Brum.

Well if he starts ill see how he does tonight, as i do agree we have to give our future talent a chance, so he will have a point to prove.

and hopefully he will inpress!!

Or, start Henry the right winger, replace him with Convey if he is shit.

Henry 90% likely to play against Brum according to the OS.

Really good to see him getting his chance.

Yes, and hats off to him for the way he reacted to being dropped. Who said SC's motivational powers were on the wane..?

Probably has more to do with Mateovsky's poor showing on the right as opposed to Henry's very good cameo at the end of the game.

Henry showed, even against Blackpool in a quieter performance, that he's more comfortable on the right than Mateovsky is. Shame in some ways, as I was quite hoping that Marek would be able to do well out wide to solve the problem of how to fit him in the team. Happt that Henry might get a further chance though.

So what will the midfield be then apart from Henry and Shunt?
Perm 2 from Matejovsky, Cisse, Harper and Gunnarsson
Personally I would like to see him try Marek and Cisse

Cisse - yes
Harps - yes
Long - no

Gunnar to come on with at least 20 minutes to go. Marek if they're dead and buried or we need to change the game and attack.

NHunt's performance levels have really dropped in the last five games or so, with the exception of that brace. I'd rest him, and the only option is Long. Noel can come on for either striker no later than Kevin Phillips comes on for Brum.

Midfield? Harps and Cisse to start, Marek to come on for Harper if we're chasing the game or comfortable.

Long simply is not good enough to start against a top quality Championship side.
He has pace and (as we have seen) a decent head at times, but N Hunt is generally a better all round player.
Sure, if N Hunt is crap, sub on Long, but otherwise let N Hunt start.
We all know that the Royals perform best against top teams - which is a shame.
