You've missed my point. Their players were performing way below their ability. Ours aren't.

Can hardly draw parallels there. Sunderland actually had a number of decent players.

And got in a new manager when it was obvious they needed one.


Is this Sunderland of 06/07 you're talking about because they didn't have a manager did they? I thought Niall Quinn was caretaker.

Correct, but they still got in a manager when it was obvious they needed one.

They turned around their form and moved to a position that more truely reflected their squad's capabilites by the end of the season.
We could do the same, we wouldn't be promoted, but we should be finshing 12th - 17th realistically
