Sir Dodger Royal Brian McDermott has the job indefinitely so the worst thing is that he starts winning matches because we will be stuck with another poodle who will be told when to bark and do the job with no support or indeed money.

You truly are a penis. And a stinky piss smelly one at that.

I say good luck to BM. He has an opportunity to impress. Everyone already knows him. Yes it might not be the right decision in the long run, but we don't know that he is going to be manager in the long term do we? But to want him to lose matches really goes to show what kind of "supporter" you are.

Can't really comment on McDermott yet, but I have to agree that was a disappointing interview. Certainly there is no plan B lined up - basically, move on and let's see what happens. More to the point, Sir Mad is looking and sounding "tired".

We have to give McDermott a fair trial.
However my worry is the way SJM avoided the question " will there be any money available in January"
Clearly there wont be. Unless McDermott has " super motivational skills " I sadly can't see much change.
As the saying goes " you can't make a silk purse from a pigs ear.

Here's my theory, he is tired, the club is sliding, he's maybe given up ? ... give McDermott a few games over Christmas ... whilst he takes a rest, then New Year the manager is the least of his concerns - that plan must be to raise financing - low wage-bill books might attract a buyer who fancies their chance more than Sir Mad ? (Not mega-bucks, just different, fresh bucks, a younger buck with renewed drive ?) Dear John, you know it makes sense ...

No one is going to buy it ...according to someone connected to the club he has had offers but will not allow the the name of the stadium to be changed...would you want to spend millions and then not be able to call it what you want?

A thread called "Madejski Interview", and there's no Madejski interview in it, or even a link to it...

These comments by the RTGs are typical. In stead of slagging off the Chairman who has got RFC into this mess without a shadow of doubt they start slagging off each other.

The lot of you are a bunch of wa**k**s.

Get Real. The campaign needs focus. That focus should be to demonstrate against the Chairman. Either he puts up or shoves off. He has creamed off most of the assets so a sale if that is what he really wants would be at a sensible price.

Of course the Madan being stone bonkers does not understand the word 'sensible' so of course nothing will happen.

Time for action and I do not mean slagging each other off but focus on Madmannnnnnn

Get to it.

Yes, true-blue, whether that is true or not, that is my point ... a concerted effort to do what it takes to sell it (or a large share of it) ... it's called negotiation, having a plan, etc ... You can understand him being sentimentally attached to his name, who wouldn't be, but everything has a price, if it's finance you're raising.

Look Dodge, focussing on helping to solve the (agreed) problem is one thing ... slagging him off is not necessarily the best approach to solving it. He's a real human, as I presume you are. No RTG's here.

I thought JM looked and sounded a broken man.

If he just wants out now he should reduce the amount he wants for the club and if he really cared about the club, he'd take anything over and above what he's put in and he wouldn't care a jot what the stadium is called in the future.

If he's holding out for a specific sum plus the right to keep the Madejski name, it's going to be a long, long time before he manages to offload the club to someone else.

I think he probably realises all too well that over-excessive cloth cutting and not doing anything to help us stay up in the Prem has brought us where we are today. He probably fell for BR's excellent spin on what he could do with the club and I have no doubt BR was made aware that money would be tight, but BR didn't realise quite how tight.

McDermott deserves our support - we have no other choice - he's been pushed in at the deep end to some extent and is, obviously, a much cheaper option than any of the names bandied about on here. Unless we continue in the way we have done in the last 21 games, then McDermott deserves a chance.

Nice on Dodge, see you've changed the title of the thread

I think most fans will back anyone who does the job providing they can understand what he's doing and why he's doing it.

Maybe in the same way BR could call upon Mourinho, McDermott can now contact Copps and ask him for help!

Spot on RL (long time no chat, btw)

Interesting that Dodge (still peddling the RTG crap after all these years) falls silent when people start talking sense, and pointing out his own mean-spirited take on things, as DK did.

Here's hoping JM's period of reflection allows him to find a way to get / let new finance in, in the best interests of the club, and he can retire with pride - he can't carry the burden indefinitely.

With 20:20 hindsight yes (as Sir Mad admits in the interview) but that doesn't mean it was a wrong decision at the time.
Your simplistic world only works in hindsight - not in the real world of hard decisions to be made.

No Glen

JM remains MORE culpable for our current "situation" than Brendan could ever be

He is (after all) the overseer and creator
