Mr Angry A bizarre spot this one....

.....week before last I went to the club shop to try and scrounge an old RFC mug (another story, even duller than this one!); walking around the ground to get a peek at the pitch (it looks fantastic btw) who did I spot??

Kingsley.

Not the guy who is Kingsley, but Kingsley in full mascot gear.

In early July.

With no game or any other obvious reason why it should be.

As I said, bizarre.

Hardly a spot he does live there.........doh

I saw a seagull with a Reading badge in its beak at Orford Ness. it was singing a song about Joey Beauchamp.

(It was the old badge with the river and elms, not the Maiwand lion and the hoops.)

I had the second best steak and kidney pudding I've ever eaten in the Jolly Sailor in Orford Ness.

Unfortunately I didn't spot any Reading shirts at the time. *sad emoticon*

Steak and kidney pudding is utter food pornography.

*tips hat for Orford Ness awareness and suet and offal-based victual consumption on a qualitative hierarchical premise*

LUX I was in a small hotel in Santa Barbara CA last summer, met a British couple, talked about football and..............he turned out to be a RFC STH who travels to every home game from Kent.

I've come across/heard about half a dozen or so in Kent down the years, must be about a decade. He may well have been one of them! If we're talking about the same one then he goes to every away game as well, or did a couple of years ago (this was just after newcastle away in 08).

I'm grateful to the one who was at uni in Canterbury I met, as if he hadnt come into the pub in Canterbury I was in its probably unlikely i would have seen the Forest home game in 02-03.

Dont know if any of them have ever posted on here though.

loyalroyal4life Interesting, has anyone ever seen a reading shirt/flag or anything related to the royals at an england match?

Seeing all those fans from millwall etc with their flags got me thinking that i cant recall anything relating to reading being seen at a game?

I swear last night there was a giant banner with the word Royals on it.. Not sure if anyone calls themselves the Royals and there was no RFC or anything like that though..

It was the RAF Royals flag that used to be deployed in the NE corner. Haven't seen it for a couple of years though.

Yep, my kids spotted that one and reminded me that it was the flag from the NE corner.

PEARCEY Was in Polperro last summera and saw a Reading fan with a Reading cap on.
When in Croatia in 2007 by a swimming pool in Porec I started talking football with a bloke by one side of me and he turned out to be a Royals fan.

Ah Polperro a lovely little village, I go there quite often. There is a guy there who drinks in one of the pubs who moved down there from Hartley Witney, don't get him on the subject of trains though you'll be with him for hours. I recall him telling me he did watch Reading a few times a long time ago but it wouldn't have been him in the cap.

By the way it wasn't me in the Reading cap either.

Cannoing up the Amazon 98, deep in the rain forest looking for the lost tribes of sassamitu, we aproached the notorious Narwinga parting where the Amazon splits in two and what do I see but a tribesman in the 95 play off final shirt fishing on the bank. You could have knocked me down with a feather, of all the places I thought to myself.

Hopefully someone like Delphonso. Villa supporting mate rates him very highly and could be a beneficial loan for all parties.

Spotted today on the M74 about 50 miles north of the border heading South at about 13.30. Black Audi A4 with a personalised number plate, with RFC crest on. Gave the guy a funny look to see if it was anyone I knew.. Sadly my RFC mini kit had fallen off the window having just picked up my new car.
