What that's it's long, rather boring and full of bickering and little annoying disagreements over nothing?

It's quality would be vastly improved by culling 60% of the population?

The Leroy Lita Officially Bored thread was locked after about 15 pages, and that was proper good stuff.

If it had been kept open for the last 2 years it could have prevented another 93 threads being opened.

I haven't read this entire thread, but Schards is no Sir Dodger Royal. If we were third to the bottom instead of third from the top I very much doubt he would be on here saying 'I told you so'. He would be feeling terrible like the majority of us would. I am sure he is pleased as punch that we are doing well. And it is no longer hard to see any progress for the foreseeable future. It is quite easy. In the words of Royal Lady:

seahawk10 And it is no longer hard to see any progress for the foreseeable future. It is quite easy.

I think people would just like Schards to agree with this, then the tedium that this thread has become would probably end.

It's only become tedious because OTHER people keep bringing it up. Why can't you all wait til the end of the season?

I think that there's sufficient demand for the thread to be expanded by about 5 pages. Depending on how that goes, we could consider increasing it by a further 8 pages.

SLAMMED
The 17 Bus Schards will however soon be tearing up one part of his early season bet, though cant see the Lita bit making much either, though was a good odds

My only bets thus far are Reading to be relegated (40/1)

Lita Championship top scorer (30/1)

He is to a bookie, like a dog is to a human, or a fat person to cake.

They must love it when he walks into labrokes. His mouth is moving, but all they hear is $CHACHING$

Those with memories longer than a goldfish will recall me being castigated for backing Reading to be relegated with £50 at 10/1.

And those with even longer memories will recall me betting £500 that Reading would finish 10 points or more ahead of Watford the previous season.

Kerr.....and indeed......ching

But that still doesn't change the fact that most of your claims at the start of this topic are bollocks.

You'll have to wait until the end of the season for a verdict on that.

In the meantime it rubbishes SLAMMED's little theory.

This whole "wait until the end of the season" argument is complete tosh.

You said supporting Reading would be duller and uninspiring and it has been anything but.

You were wrong, be a man and admit it.

Surely that is the pure quality of the original post.

It is obvious ,if you read what Schards wrote at the time, that he was not speculating on the future of RFC in the next 10 games- he was calling what he saw at that time.

How many of us then truly appreciated the signings that we have made in the last year or so...who did rate Kebe or Cisse?...who could imagine our defence being so much stronger with Bikey coming back and being largely solid?...Bearing in mind what happened with Sidwell, who could envisage the club finding the money to fund a contract that keeps Doyle happy- and almost certainly here post January...

We have not even touched on the potential of Marek (anyone else think that Coppells reluctance to show him off means he is keeping him under wraps and under radar until the window closes)...

Wherever we end up at the end of the season, mid-table, play-offs, or, Insha'alla, automatic promotion, the one thing that Schards has been proved to be wrong about, is that this season would be dull and uninspiring.

Imho, RL should lighten up- the teasing is not ill-intentioned. More glee that so far, on that point at least, he is proving to be wrong. I suspect that nobody is more pleased about that than the man himself.

We are revelling in being a bit good again. We seem to have a team that anyone else in the CCC would die for- every manager comes out and states we look like a prem team....

Dull and uninspiring- hands up Schards- you were wrong.

Mid table and mediocrity...time will tell.

This thread is nothing to do with being right or wrong, it is much more important than that.
