Once were Biscuitmen Sweet Jesus, will we have to endure this mongfest every time we lose a game?
There are at least 17 teams with higher value squads than ours.
There are almost certainly at least 17 teams with higher wage bills than ours.
There are almost certainly at least 17 teams with higher revenues and/or more indulgent sugar daddies than ours.
We were favorites for relegation before the season started for a reason.

Haag Royal Not at all - but at least have the decency to accept others have views (and information) that might not be yours or what you what to hear before you lower yourself to questioning my intelligence without knowing me.
Don't bother getting personal.

Saying that Anton should reconsider his position in football if he doesn't sack arguably the best manager in our history tells me all I need to know about your intelligence.

And it would be a very interesting argument because, based on where we are now, I would say SSC is the best manager in our history.

Haag Royal Put it another way - if we do lose on Tuesday and BMD keeps his job then the new owner needs ask himself why he is involved in football.

What price SSC to come in till the end of the season?
What price you have an IQ less than the number of points we'll get this season?

Man Fridaywinchester_royal I disagree.
I'm with Floyd in thinking that this squad is, quite comfortably, the worst in the division. You call Wigan an average side, but in players like Kone, Di Santo, McCarthy and Gomez they have players that would walk straight into our 1st team.
We are managing to compete against teams like Everton because of the way we are set-up. We get the ball forward quickly and get players up the pitch in support. We don't have players who can unlock defences on their own so this is the only way we can play. Yes this leaves us open defensively, but we saw at home to Spurs just how poor we are when trying to play a different style.
There are players out of form, but I'm not sure you can blame McDermott for the individual errors the players make.
I think McDermott's tactics and ideology will win us more points than any other style we could adopt without making huge changes to the squad.
Of course McDermott has to take the blame for not strengthening the squad in a better way in the summer, but without knowing the budget he had and the recruitment structure in place under TSI I'm certainly not going to use it as a reason to call for the head of a guy who is THE reason we are in this league. Plus I can understand why he wanted to keep the core of the squad intact, as our 'success' this season was always going to depend on spirit rather than quality.

MmmMonsterMunch SSC totally lost his love for football whilst with us. He had no fight left in him at the end & it was a slow lingering death. Why the hell would we want him back?
Great respect for what he achieved in the good days but come on that ship has sailed. I doubt he'd even say yes anyway.

Lacoste People go on about Brian not having a very good squad, well he built this squad so its a stupid argument.
Anyway, been told today that Anton doesn't trust Brian with the good sum if funds we have available in Jan but at the same token doesn't want to piss the Reading fans off loyal to Brian and needs a decent reason to sack him. A loss to Villa on Tuesday and he will be gone with Advocaat coming in. He has also spoken to Hiddink.

Once again, I have no reason to lie and neither does my Brother in law who has access to this information through being close to members of London Irish and Reading FC boards . Anton wants his own man in

I think the discussions with Hiddink were in more of an advisory, we need help kind of role.
What people seem to forget is that we have lots and lots of cash available to spend and many managers would court this position. The fact that Brian decided to spend a fraction of what was available has pissed off the boaed and led the fans to believe we had no money. Trust me we will spend in Jan
