Schards#2 Can we dispense with the protests today? Absolutely nothing positive can come of it. Everyone who needs to know the supporters want change are aware of it and nothing we can do will force it.

It sounds like things are moving so, for the time being lets just concentrate on the football for a change

This. We need the points.

I'm amazed how every time there's a hint of anything positive, everyone immediately forgets what a liar and a cheat Dai is.

The protests have made their point, we are in the news and there appears to be things going on with regards to a sale, we've seen that as a result of Ashley sending in his cronies. Now feels like a time for a slight pause. Protest by all means but balls on the pitch etc is not what I would want to see tonight.

If things don't appear to have moved on in the next week or two then the next home game after the international break should be the target for another big demo - if protests are constant they lose their impact.

windermereROYAL Will the EFL charges against us be dropped now?

Believe the FL confirmed the current charges are all against Mr Dai personally rather than the football club. Main charge is over his failure to set up the backup account with 125% of wages in it.

That was prior to the club being referred to the indpendant commission for non-payment of HMRC.

Silver Fox So what will getting tonight's game abandoned achieve Ian?

Where have I said the game should be abandoned Fox?

The same place where I said he wasn't a liar and a cheat.

No, very clearly, I have not said that.

Did they actually say what the charges were and what rule we’d broken or do we have to wait to the hearing?

The whole thing is damned confusing at the moment. The FL have said that "the current proceedings that remain ongoing are only against Mr Dai" however, any sanctions that may come from the charges levied against him will be referred to the independent commission.

But further to that I think non payment of tax for any length of time might also be referred to the independent commission following on from the adoption of new regulations that the "turkeys" all voted for at their AGM in June.

3points Interesting point. Anyone know how many games Ejaria has played since his transfer? Is he not being played because he is close to triggering another appearance based milestone fee?

He's not being played because he's an unfit waster.

But for the record he's on: 63(9) since his transfer to us.

Thank you - could be a 75 game milestone (given he's on 74). But more likely he can't be arsed any more given Selles' recent comments

Wasn't this payment rather large though?

Yes but what if Dai sees a tennis ball on the pitch and thinks “oh no this is bad I’ll stop being a tit” and then runs us properly.

Hound I’m broadly supportive of the protests but not really sure what more tennis balls would achieve at this point

What are we exactly protesting about at this point in time?

Chucking some balls on the pitch has been done, got some attention and headlines, it will quickly just become an irritant. It does seem some sort of sale is in process, just more low key tennis ball style protests - just don’t get it really

I agree, the tax bill was paid so let's get behind the lads tonight

Unless things have genuinely started to move on that front, especially with reports that he paid the outstanding tax bill.

Still want him gone, obviously. But it would seem that things are starting to ease slightly.

A protest outside his house and at Les Ambassadeurs casino would do more than a few tennis balls.
