I'd like to see us try Roberts and Pog up front together for a spell - that way at least we get 2 players who can control the ball on the pitch at the same time.

Yeah, but unless we play them as centre backs they won't see much of the ball, let alone control it.

Agree with Pog and Roberts, with Roberts dropping a bit deeper. His control and skill have the potential to turn the hoofed ball that just bounced off Ledge's shin into an attack. I'm also convinced that if we can get the ball to Guthrie's feet with some modicum of control, give him half a second on the ball, Pogrebnyak and Roberts could do a lot with some of his passes.

That said, with the form he's on I wouldn't drop Hunt when he's fit again.

Agree with Pog and Roberts together. Pog, for all he's worth in goals, is utter garbage in the air. Has he got lead boots or what?

Partner him with Roberts and please go back to 4-4-2!!!

Guthrie is a baller. He is the best passer of the ball we have, but he's being told to change his game and "and be more direct" - So he's wasted. Just as Matejovsky was!

One thing that we consistantly struggle with is pace. People running at us. We've got players like that here who can hurt other sides, but we drop them. McCleary wont be as effective in a long-ball team, but when we let him run at players at the start of the season he was causing all sorts of problems. Kebe is a similar player. If they're defending for their lives then you lose that attacking threat.

Tactics need to change. If they don't, BM wont be here for much longer. For the first time yesterday AZ looked unhappy with what we was watching. Normally he's seen looking quite happy. Time is running out.

Roberts doesn't wear 'the t-shirt' and we get beat - you do the math

agree roberts and pog would work

but nhunt has shown hes a great target, and partner with everyone hes played with, and has scored 2 in 2

agreed guthrie can pick a pass, but the last few games hes played hes given the ball away more than anyone

Have you not seen him hit a cross-field ball? Better than anyone else we have at it

According to the stats on WhoScored? Guthrie is our most successful pass completor at 80.2%, and second highest passer behind Legs (who incidentally is our third most successful passer with 77.1%).

That would suggest that our passing problems aren't really with these two.

Biggest offenders have been: Tabb, Hunt, Marriapa, Cummings Shorey and Harte. Not that the rest of the team have been that good either.

Wouldn't have said the problem is with passing, its with losing the ball whilst in posession (especially in dangerous positions) that is letting us down

Er, Pogs first touch is as bad as LegsOfWood, but still yeah what the hell, try him with Roberts. Nothing really to lose.

BUT whatever, it's got to be 4-4-2 here on in every game.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Kebe for scapegoat. He was like a little boy lost first half and may as well have been sitting in the stands second half. And as for Hunt, surprise surprise he disappears with one of his phantom injuries. Thought of all games he would've been up for Liverpool.

I'm guessing this may be aimed at BmcD

creative_username_1 It's seems pretty unanimous that the award this week goes to Harte. Congrats

Gunter. This and EVERY week. We need a new right back, and we need Pearce to play with Morrison.
