So there's no money for transfers when it's abundantly clear we needed 2-3 new players in before deadline, and by some coincidence the buyout is scheduled the same month... it does seem to fit that money may be being taken out of the club to actually buy the remaining shares, and the rest made up by the rumoured mortgaging of the stadium.

All very very worrying if it's true. Ultimately AZ will realise penny pinching and hoping an academy will achieve his goals is not going to happen, debts will be out of control, payments on the stadium will be missed, we'll lose our ground, they'll do the same with the training ground and we'll lose that, we'll close the Cat 1 academy and if we're lucky not to be shut down, we'll end up ground-sharing with Brentford or Oxford in 5-6 years.

Surely there would be some sort of news other than a guy on a message board if we'd mortgaged our stadium? I oxf*rd hate you for feeding the oxf*rd twitter oxf*rd.

Typical RFC, to do business with a Russian with no money.

I think we should just fold the club now to avoid any further embarrassment.

DOYLERSAROYALER sounds like Madejski didn't do his due diligence either then if these rumours are true....he said many a time he would only sell to the right person who would have the clubs interests at heart ....appears he may have failed on that one...
based on what? Some bloke on hobnob saying random stuff? No idea what kind of source he is tbf

I'm sure Get Reading will be getting a petty cash claim for £3 from Charles Watts as he either clinches a scoop or crosses Gunny Fishcake off his list of potential news sources.

robinsfriday I heard from a reliable source that his credit card was declined in John Lewis on Saturday morning. And not even for a huge amount. A few baby wipes, a high chair and some teething gel. These are worrying times.

Newsagent told me he hasn't been in to pay his paper bill or pick up his back copies of Modern Oligarch for three months!

What's he been reliable on?

If there is any truth in this then the news will be on Get Reading tomorrow.

@richiec87 2m
There is a charge over the assets. It is between #readingfc and Vibrac. That's all I know myself.

Presumably this could be the charge that Madejski has over the assets until he is paid the balance of the fee due? Guess it would depend on the date that the charge was put in place.

Oh, and the milkman hasn't a good word to say about him. Mind you he's disappeared since the baby was born.

This is all starting to get me worried. It did seem strange that we brought in 5m in the last week of the window and literally didn't sign anybody without a honest explanation. We have heard nothing from Anton for a while either.

You massive bunch of tarts! There's nothing in this, nothing at all. The buy-out is planned to go through early next month, not this month, or certainly the so called deadline is next month! That's been the case for a while now. Perhaps someone like gazza, loyal royal can chip in and back me up on that?

This is all a wind-up, and the usual suspects have escalated it and made something out of nothing.

Remortgaging the stadium. Really? Was told today AZ had until 30th to complete takeover, but could even extend that deadline. #readingfc

Even as a fierce critic of the liars who run our club, I won't accept nonsense conspiracy theories. And no I'm clearly not one of the RFC apologists lurking here.

The lies we've been fed to me seem quite innocent I.e. we're restructuring finances and focussing on cat1 status so can't splash the cash just yet, but oh no, if we go telling the truth to prospective good managers they won't join us and if we start telling the truth to fans they won't buy season tickets so we lie a bit and hope we can fool Adkins and fans into sticking with us. This is what pisses me off, and that's all. I seriously doubt there is something bigger going on. It's all an innocent annoyance as far as I'm concerned. I still have every confidence that in the longer term we're being built very soundly. Sir John is an extremely successful businessman afterall and will not have screwed anything up.

If he needed to raise the cash he wouldn't be building new shiny training facilities, and we would have cashed in on the likes of McCarthy and Le Fondre. This is all really very silly.
