Mr Optimist
melonhead Losing a playoff semi>>>>not making it at all

This thread
thread makes us look a bit (more)pathetic

You do realise you don't get a medal or an open top bus parade for losing a play off semi final, but the supporters get to spend a couple of hundred extra, in this case, the faint hope you may get to lose at Wembley.

Remind me, what time does the Reading FC Open Top bus parade for celebr8ing 7th place with obscenely over paid players start? I must remember to be out of town that day pffffffffffff

We already had a pitch invasion, the open top bus can't be too far off.

This - looking forward to Adkins bellowing out next season's failed expectations again

Big Foot
Schards#2 Depressing to see a side that is way inferior to us (at our best) competing in the play offs when we're not but don't blame Brighton, good luck to them, we are not there due to our own shortcomings.

'greed with Brendy, this thread's a bit lame.

How many wins for Reading in the 3 games vs Brighton this season m8?

Would that be the same Brighton who haven't beaten us in the league for 11 years?

They beat Reading more recently than Reading have beaten them though, don't try and move the goalposts

We weren't at our best against them. At our best, we are better than Brighton at their best, sadly, we have not been at our best for the vast majority of the season and not sufficiently to make sixth, which we should have comfortably.

Our league record against Brighton since we both got promoted is: W7 D2 L1

Of course the last game that ended with a win for either side was the Cup march this season so if you need that to feel superior, all power to you.

Not moving the goalposts, when the discussion is related to who made the playoffs, I fail to see what relevance a cup game has. However, you are correct, the FA Cup game was their first win against us in any competition since 2003.

Are you also depressed to see Burnley finish above Reading? After all, on paper and balance sheet, they should've been much lower down the table than RFC?

Yep, the more you look at it the worse Adkins 'efforts' this season look and the stupider his summer claims were. Of course, some still choose to blame Anton and injuries instead.

Nope, because burnley at their best are better than us

It's a shame it's so one sided, Brighton simply haven't turned up. Derby cruising to the final...

Not entirely sure what Brighton's game plan was to be honest.

Indeed. Brighton have been an utter embarrassment.

This will sound bitter (probably is to a certain extent) but there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever Reading would have done a better job over these 2 games. To be honest, I think we'd have won.

They look fcuking useless.
