Smithy Would love it if we got giggs

Why, what exactly would you love about it? What's he done to warrant it?

He's quiet, serious, learned everything he knows from a master of the game (and of management), played and presumably supports good attacking football.... no matter how LVG did at Man Utd he will also have learned a lot from him as well.

He might fail in management but there's also a decent chance he'll do very well. Only guessing but I'm not sure the lack of a war-chest would trouble him - he would probably enjoy working with and inspiring youngsters with potential.

Plus great contacts of course.

Rather him than any other (realistic) names linked.

(Bergkamp in same bracket but we don't know he's looking for a job.)

Has to be Ian Holloway, after what I heard today, because he is genuinely funny!

He was shopping in Lyme Regis today and having bought a comic chicken for a child (grandson I think) he popped into another shop and after looking around and buying nothing asked if he could buy a bag to put the chicken in, because his wife said:-

"he couldn't walk around town with his cock out"

and this was also after being mistaken for Tony Pulis!

Quality!!!

I spoke to him last night in Lyme. Mind you it was a bit more of a slur. Not sure he understood what I was saying. Wouldn't mind him though.

In that case I'd have John Cleese with Andrew Sachs as number 2

8 pages in & not one mention of Steve Bruce. He's first on my list. Fantastic managerial record & massively underrated IMO.

Might well be Zola. His odds have tumbled since yesterday

Zola's Championship record (Warford) as manager is 44% win ratio (33 wins from 75 games) in approx 18 months.

Last season was manager of a mid table season at Al-Arabi Sports Club in Saudi Arabia, unclear whether he's left that post or not though.

I mentioned him in another thread as the ideal target if Hull get rid.
