You set the arbitrary goal targets not me.

And just checked. Derby finished the regular season with their top 4 goalscorers on 14, 9, 7 and 6. 36 goals in total. You dont think Meite, Barrow, Swift and Novakovich can get 9 goals each?

Either Derby scored a lot of goals in the cup or you’re talking rubbish. Derby’s top scorers finished on 18,13,13 and 11. That equals 55

oxf*rd Wikipedia. My Apologies.

Wilson scored 15 league goals including 1 in the play offs - 14
Waghorn scored 9 league goals - 9
Mount scored 8 league goals including 1 in the play offs - 7
Marriott scored 7 league goals including 3 in the play offs - 4

Total - 34 League goals not including play offs.

I get confused sometimes.

Not sure our posting styles are similar.
I tend to be witty, knowledgeable and fair minded.

Wow.

As opposed to occasionally witty, knowledgeable and fair minded. Now shake hands and buy each other a pint, etc...

But glad to see Matt back this season. I think he likes it in Reading. Hopefully this is a sign he might become a permanent member of the squad in the future when the clubs finances are sorted out.

Very happy with this signing. If I could have chosen one of last season’s loan signings to come back it would have been Miazga.

Well done to PTR for getting it right about Ejaria. It was a shame about Oliveira though.

Hoping that we can now bring in a striker asap.

One87One Chelsea have done us another solid and are paying most of Miazga's wages again.

Arent Everton also paying Virginia’s wages?

Just need that striker (same story every transfer window it seems) and an AM.

Brilliant news. We look rock solid at centre back. Very happy with this.

Great news.
I wonder if this now means that Moore will go as, unless we play 3 centre-backs (a possibility) I don't see the 3 of them being very happy not starting especially as both Miazga and Morrison would probably not have signed for us if they thought that they might not be first choices as they would have had options elsewhere.
The best centre-back since Dariusz.

Vic, selling Moore prolly won't happen if I'm honest, but it's something I suggested, all things considered.
Will be interesting to see how he and Morrison compare this season.

Yes, we now have 3 senior centre backs but we are Reading and we are injury prone. Moore had a back problem last season so there is now the chance we could rest him/sub him off if necessary.

I would guess that the new recruits understand why they have been brought in and how much game time they are likely to get. Three at the back was used in several away games last season so having three CBs also means we don't need to move Yiadom central.

Excellent. Maybe I am becoming old and less pessimistic, but I am very happy with our signings so far. Every one of them adds something, doesn't break the bank, and in fact helps recover it. The jury is out at GK and and a reliable striker but we have some good young options that could surprise a few people. Meite although inconsistent hasn't played in a consistent, stable team and has some raw talent. Loader finally got a goal and ha shown glimpses, Nova has played consistently for two years and could play an immediate part. I wouldn't be opposed to adding someone else but only if there is real affordable quality around.

I'm just enjoying seeing some clear thought from the club hierarchy again. I understand every signing we've made. There is a route for youngsters. FFP means a tough season is likely, but we've got our club back.

Yeah, but if only we'd had a plan :)

I am not expecting a relegation battle again. We have 3 centre backs all in the top range of the championship. That should be enough for a solid foundation from the back. The midfield we again have proven players at this level who should be able to compete, all offering different attributes. Striker we are unproven but if we are tough to beat and nick some goals we can be on the verge of mid table. Thats my expectation, I am not expecting a playoff push but if we are in another relegation battle thats a poor effort.
