Simon's Church I genuinely think we'll win our next 4 games comfortably

That would be handy especially with Forest, Bournemouth and Blackburn coming up in March.

He made a big error v Brizzle with a dreadful clearance. They ended up hitting the post.

And before that Southwood made several ghastly errors that did lead to goals conceded and badly affected the team. He has great potential but I don't think his time has yet come and currently we can't afford to let him develop in our first team.

Keepers will make errors. Hein has been lucky where Southwood hasn't. At the moment, I'd rather have the lucky keeper in goal as talent wise, they are about equal on the limited view of Hein.

Southwood hasn’t made that many mistakes but boy has he been punished. Then again the same could be said for Rafael.

Isn't Southwood statistically the best keeper in the league or summit?

Think it might be save %age or something like that, but it might be down to the fact he has to deal with 20 shots a game.

He has been punished for his mistakes, that is for sure, which have absolutely cost us points recently. Hull and Derby are the two which really stick out.

Any idea how many we've sold for this one? we should be selling it out, it's not that far away for most of us and a massive game.

I think WhoScored also have him as the highest rated goalkeeper in the league for the season (or they did when I looked before Hein signed so it might have changed by now) and he probably has made the most saves this season. Again, that is to be expected given he's playing for us when we probably concede the most amount of shots per game in the league.

I suppose you can pull out any data really to suit a narrative, it's how you interpret that data and what it means which is the key thing.

YorkshireRoyal99 I don't think Hein has done too badly. Agree with those who think he (or someone else, but I'm not suggesting Southwood) maybe could have done better with the deflected effort on Saturday, but I wouldn't put it down as an error.

I wouldn't say he's made an clear and obvious errors so far really and I wouldn't say he is necessarily out of his depth either, but possibly a lack of experience is working against him in some situations. Room to improve, but not a bad start overall. I can see why he was signed, I just wish it was someone better.

Course we can. We're losing every game anyway and he's kept several games below double figures. BadLOLy affected the team ... this is team responsible for 2/3 times as many howlers.

If we cannot afford to let Southwood develop i the first ream we sure as hell can't afford to let someone else's younger, no better, keeper develop there.

Yeah but if you'd booked it 8 weeks ago and travelled off-peak it would be a lot cheaper

You'd also need to re-book it as they moved the date for TV about 4 weeks ago.

This is what I did. Went for dinner with Ian at Salamis Greek Taverna last night. I had mixed souvlaki, he had vegetable moussaka. We shared a bottle of wine, split the bill and went our separate ways.

strangely not that bothered by tonight. I think the shitshow has worn me down into not caring

I suppose there is always the win/win of a defeat maybe meaning the end of pauno, but thought that since Kiddy

See, I don't see it as such because I'm starting to believe Pauno is here until the end of the season.

Win and he gets a stay of execution, lose and the Pauno out thread will be in overdrive in the morning waiting for news which never comes. i would never want us to lose, but if it hastens his departure then i would take one for the team.
