Looked nasty for Holmes.

Thought Holmes may have been out for several months there the way his foot caught in the turf and knee twisted, but he looks ok.

Every headed clearance from a corner lands at the feet of a Vale player on the edge of the box in 10 yards of space.

One of those rockets back in will fly into the back of the net sooner or later.

Have to say that I agree with Mick, Reading have found their level and are struggling against a side that conceded 7 last week!

Absolute horseshit keep ball in our defensive third. No presence in midfield and loads of overhit balls in behind or poor crosses.

Utterly unimpressed with the officials both this and last week, might as well have your dad in charge.

Brogue
Kitsondinho

Keeper was in a different post code by the time AC hit it!!

There`s a Reading player in front of the taker.

Carroll hasn't been a goalscorer for about 5 years.

Carroll needs to come off. Their number 6 is winding him up and he's not at it. Get Vickers on.

Frustrating half. We've been the better side but not had the quality to open them up. Penalty was a kick in the teeth regardless of whether the goalie went early.

Port Vale are genuinely one of the worst teams I've ever seen. Need to do something at HT. At least we know Selles isn't afraid to make early subs.

Well that was shit. I’d get Carroll off at HT. he’s only gonna get sent off.

Their No 6 is a disgrace. Officiating is abysmal.

This is why the club need to sign Walcott and/or Stansfield. Carroll can then be used as a sub when needed.

Yet they're still 0-0 with us and they've had the ball in our net. Doesn't say much for Reading.

Shows how poor we are if we couldn't score.

We need to sign another forward

Carroll off, Camara on for me.

Put Knibbs in behind Ehibhatiomhan and Camara on the right.

Try and take control of midfield and get our midfielders and fullbacks to do the passing and moving, not the centrebacks. You can’t win a game with the ball at your CBs feet in your defensive third. But you can lose it.
