Had a worse goalscoring record than our other strikers.

I think he was done for drink driving and got a ban then followed it up with not scoring for 18 consecutive league games where he played just about the full 90mins in all of them and then after that he walked out of the club straight after the fulham game in a huff after allegedly having a falling out earlier in the week at training. Good riddance I say.

It’s a pretty simple calculation; 4 strikers who are struggling to score, but might break their duck at an important time >>>>> 3 strikers who are struggling to score, but might break their duck at an important time.

Thaumagurist* I'm getting tired of reading how people seem to be thinking that Lita was loaned out because of his attitude. That is a misconception. He was, as Coppell has said, loaned out to give him some games rather than sit around doing nothing. And to help him find his form.

Doyle hasn't scored in a number of games, why is he still in the team?

Because he doesn't give Coppell any grief.

and if you think 'attitude' has no impact on selection, see saturday where Reading dropped their top scorer in favour of Shane Long.

Massive relegation 6 pointer. I think trying to get the points (letting your top scorer start) should come above attitude.

And if anyone thinks 'attitude' is more important than ability at this moment in time, look what happened when Reading dropped their top scorer in favour of Shane Long.

There are increasing signs that team unity & confidence are shot to pieces anyway, so might as well play the best players, rather than the Golden Boys, and hope that their ability & attitude can get us out of the mess we are in.

Personally I dont think starting Long was the problem. Its the fact that whatever he does KD will play 90 mins. Its really annoying that SC wont give Leroy or S Long a chance to establish themselves. They cant score much less than Doyle has in the last 5 months

Nail, head, hit. Double standards from the management team and fans, unless there's something behind the scenes we don't know about, which seems unlikely since most gossip gets out.
