Seems laughable, but surely we have to be convincing managers (and ourselves?) that we are top 10 Prem potential, and Potter has surely taken Brighton as far as he can.
That must be a joke right? I mean tongue must be firmly pressed against cheek else if not, that is some grade A stupidity right there.

Nope, he was being deadly serious.
leonHendoSnowflake Royal That's a risky move and a slap in the face of the Mackems
Yep, can't imagine the Sunderland fan base will be too happy with that.
Tbf they are all a bunch of entitled twats.

YorkshireRoyal99 To be fair, they probably are "top 10 potential" in the Premier League - although there are a host of other clubs both in and out of the Premier League that, by history, would suggest they could fall under the same category as well.
They just need to stick to the level they are at really, Mowbray would be a good appointment for them, would bring some stability for a couple of seasons you feel as well.

Hound Blackburn fans seem to dislike Mowbray. Be interesting to see how he does there

Hound Scotty P given the boot by Bournemouth already
Suspect they’ll be more heavily featured in this thread again next season. They look a right mess

Easy to do after a 9-0 defeat but realistically with the squad they have, which is top end Championship really, to have 3 points from games against Villa, Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool is pretty much par - arguably 2 points more than could have been expected before the season started.
Without bringing in more quality, I have no idea how they even begin to survive this year. Doubtless Dyche's name will be linked, if it hasn't been already.
Does feel like the bubble is bursting a bit and they may well fall back to mid-table Championship for a few years.

Maybe a bit of a shame that both the Stoke and Sunderland jobs have gone (assuming he doesn't go for the Sunderland job that is) as that might have been a decent fit for him. There will be more that open up in the Championship, West Brom might be one if their results don't start picking up.
