Absolutely superb start, fast, positive and pressing like mad! Having Kith back at CB is making massive difference too…

I have watched quite a lot of our WSL games this season and I have to say the ladies have been a tad unlucky in a number of games. It just seems like the club is blighted this season and it does look like a double relegation is on the cards.

Just seen the highlights and Everton’s penalty is an utter joke and the ref had a perfect view. The referee’s in woman’s football are the I have seen including park football.

Nah, all we need to do is set of firecrackers all the damn time, works in China, they set off firecrackers in 2020 Spring Festival and they got three years of imprisonment and coronavirus....

I've just seen the highlights and the decision to award Everton their penalty is one of the worst I've seen, which takes some doing given all of the crap referees that have been inflicted upon us over the years.

The ball shoots out sideways from the Reading defender's clean tackle and I really don't know how she could've made any cleaner contact on the ball and not the player. What's worse is it happens right in front of the ref who should've had a clear view. Furthermore, she only awarded the penalty following a half-hearted appeal from the Everton player who was on the ground after her own momentum had carried her into the Reading defender after she had been tackled. What's more not a single other Everton player could be seen appealing.

The women really have suffered from a lot of appallingly wrong game-changing decisions this season, including a clear goal not being awarded IIRC, and they have certainly not evened themselves out over the season.

It's almost as though both the EFL and FA have decided to do whatever is necessary to ensure that both of our tinpot teams are relegated this season!

It`s looking bleak and Sunday`s game at Man City KO 2pm at the City Academy stadium is a certain defeat the way City are playing and scoring. The match is live on FA player.
Current table
9th Tottenham P 18 points 13 -16
10th Brighton P 17 points 12 - 32
11th Reading P 18 points 11 -20
12th Leicester P 17 points 10 -30

Remaining fixtures
Tottenham Brighton H(29/4) Man Utd A(7/5) Reading H(21/5) West Ham A(27/5)
Brighton Tottenham A(29/4) West Ham H(7/5) Arsenal H(10/5) Everton A(21/5) Leicester H (27/5)
Reading Man City A(30/4) Aston Villa H(7/5) Tottenham A(21/5) Chelsea H(27/5)
Leicester Liverpool H(29/4) Arsenal A(5/5) Chelsea A(10/5) West Ham H(21/5) Brighton A(27/5)

Interesting to hear from Mark Bowen that Mr Dai is apparently financing the women's team to the tune of 4X what any other Championship team is doing for their affiliated women's teams. It would explain how we have managed to afford some of the players in the women's squad, particularly given the relatively low attendances at games.

If we are relegated but he continues to fund at that level (can't find reference to FFP just salary caps in the women's game) then we may stand a reasonable chance of bouncing back.

Unlike their male counterparts, however, the women have in the past shown they are capable of pulling off some shocks against the top teams. There might still be an outside chance of them grabbing some points, particularly if they can get Deanne Rose back on the pitch.

Leicester beating Liverpool 2-0 in early WSL game, so we are bottom as it stands.

IF we end up bottom after today, with Leics still to play Brighton, its going to be very difficult to stay up

Leicester’s next two are Arsenal and Chelsea. We have Villa and Spurs. Brighton have Spurs, West Ham and Arsenal. We HAVE to get some points out Villa/Spurs…I’d hope for 4…but we’ll probably get 1!!

I’m off to City tomorrow. Not expecting to enjoy it!!
